Updating OEM Navi

I have an 2013 OEM head unit with Navi for my FR-S and have been having trouble inputting some addresses for directions. Some addresses simply doesn't exist for the older Navi head units. Does anyone know if it's possible to find/get an updated flash for the Navi unit? Thanks

The maps are $160+ and can only be updated at dealerships, I have the same navigation as well, and because the car is now 3 years old in your case its quite worth it if you use it a lot. In my case the Harman OEM unit came out of a 2012 prius and has the latest firmware but not the latest maps so the issue for me is much greater. The dealership can only update it due to the fact they seem to have learned about navigation piracy  Basically they have to activate the license through tech stream and also they have a specific usb drive that ONLY updates through techstream, also it asks for the technicians name and ID number stuff

I was afraid this might be the answer. Greatly appreciate the help.

I know its a weird thing to save up for but you probably should, the latest maps also update the logic of how the system reroutes, I'm saving for it on the side a bit to pay for the update.

Damn, didnt realize that its such a pain for the FRS.

Either way, I plan on just replacing my headunit with one that supports Android Play, like the new JBL one. Its only $400 and you can use Google Maps or Waze with it, rather than relying on outdated maps.

Just my opinion.
