How do I unplug tweeters?

I'm trying to install the OEM Audio Plus... And I'm failing at step 1.

I've got the grills out of the dash easily enough, but can't for the life of me figure out how to disconnect the tweeter plug.

I've tried both tweeters, I've pressed the moving white tab down, I've jiggled it. I studied the inside of my new tweeter connection. I've pulled, prodded and probed these bloody things.

Do you need the patience of a rock and the dexterity of a spider monkey? what's the secret?

It's 40 minutes later I give up, I've reconnected my battery and put the grills back. I have a splitting headache too. Grrr!

Please help!

TJ Hunt - I saw you and Calvin struggling with the tweeters in your vid (I assume that's yours). How did you get them out?

I struggled with mine, too. After some time and some salty language I freed one, giving me the courage to keep trying. I have no idea what magic it took, but I was able to finish the job.

you might be holding the plug from freeing itself lol. Just try pushing down on only the tab, touch nothing else. Then just pull on the tweeter, don't worry about yanking the wires apart but then again you shouldn't have to pull that hard.

I've got big hands, so it's hard to get a decent grip. My hand span is about 10" (wink wink ladies).

Not being able to remove the grill from the tweeter beforehand doesn't help either - everything is cramped in the corner of the dash and window.

I'll try again tomorrow.

Done - plugged in the new ones! Took ages, and I've bruised 1 thumb and 1 pointer finger.
