Hey guys
New here and just want to make sure about something. This may be a very dumb question, but is the BRZ and the 86's radio's identical? I am looking at getting this headunit once I buy the car, but need to know it will work in the BRZ as well: http://www.kenwood.com/au/car/visual...ion/ddx715wbt/
Thanks in advance

As far as I can see and tell, they're identical.
Same hilux radio I had.

Not at all like mine. I have the 86 hi-spec. It's a big touch screen. Wouldn't they be likely to have the same connectors to the car though?

The cars will all have the same Toyota harnesses, only with different radios fitted from the factory.

This isn't entirely true, the BR-Z navigation head unit not only has a subaru gps antenna which is easy to get.
The FR-S/GT86/86 HU sends power to the car's antenna booster amplifier via the separate single-conductor wire on the AM/FM antenna connector.
The BRZ HU sends the 12V power antenna signal out via pin #8 on the 10-pin power/speaker harness.
You'll need to rig up an adapter harness (or at least, add a jumper wire from the vacant slot on your car's 10-pin plug to the factory pin/wire on your car's AM/FM antenna plug.
This has been proven in other threads, that's why it's not worth transplanting one of the twins head units into each other unless they can be had for super cheap.
