just another ruined BRZ
This is just a little thread to keep track of some of the shit I've done to my car and share some photos.
I used to hate slammed cars and now the frame of mine is an inch off the ground :iono: But its still fun as hell to drive and that's all that matters to me. I'm @ seankfoto on instagram if any of yall are on there. Current setup: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...sized/leak.jpg Suspension/Wheels - Stance SS coilovers 12k(5" swift)/8k - Powered By Max rear LCA - Megan rear toe arms - Powered By Max solid subframe & differential risers - front camber bolts 16mm top, 14mm bottom - ARP extended studs all around - ESR SR05 18x9.5 +35 (+10f, +15r after spacers) on accelera 215/35 Engine/Exhaust - Berk 2.5" high-flow catted frontpipe - custom 2.5" resonated catback with 2x2.5" blastpipes (by Big B Mufflers) Exterior/Interior - CS style front lip, sideskirts & rear spats - TRD style fender bezels - Valenti CR taillights Old setups/full build history: 2014 Subaru BRZ Premium in Satin White Pearl, purchased on 2.18.14 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...stock%20af.jpg 1680 miles - Eibach Sportline springs 2600 miles - CS style front lip - Whiteline 16mm front camber bolts (for upper slot) - XXR 527 17X8.25 +35 flat black - Hankook Evo2 245/40 https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...ger%20proj.jpg 7350 miles - Berk high flow catted 2.5" frontpipe - custom 2.5" catback (Big B Mufflers) 8550 miles - Valenti CR taillights 17300 miles - Stance coilovers 8k/6k - Vordoven Forme9 17x9 +35 painted gold - Federal 595 245/40 - STi style front lip - Grimmspeed license plate relocator - chrome fender garnish delete https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...resized/ok.jpg 21,500 miles - Powered By Max rear lower control arms - Swift 12k springs (5") for front; moved 8k to rear - TRD style fender bezels https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...d/testdone.jpg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...ized/wheel.jpg 25,000 miles - Ikon lip for about a week - CS style front lip, sideskirts & spats - Megan rear toe arms - SPC 14mm front camber bolts (for bottom slot) - ESR SR05 18x9.5 +35 on Accelera 215/35 - ARP extended studs all around - 25mm spacer front, 20mm spacer rear; camber -5f -4.5r - 2.5" catback with 2x2.5 'blast pipes' https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...d/newfront.jpg https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...desilvcrop.jpg 27,000 miles - replaced broken axle - Powered By Max solid differential & subframe risers https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...ed/rearpro.jpg in progress ~28,000 miles - 20K 4" Swift spring for front, moved 5" 12K Swift to rear - replace differential - (2) ESR SR05 18x9.5 +22 for front (same wheel lower offset) = -3 after spacers - the subframe/diff raise pushed out the rear wheels about 12mm per side, so a smaller spacer can be ran (20mm -> 10) - quik-latch front bumper quick releases - alignment: camber -5f, -2.5r; toe +0 |

I like seeing different things with these motors, better that than seeing the same track builds being recycled over and over. |

Herrafrush....with spacers....lol.

Whatever though. Looks good enough for an absolutely non-functional vehicle |
The equivalent of stanced cars, for parachuting, is a parachute with holes in it.

I like the way it looks. Some guys track, some guys scrape. Do whatever you'd like. Did you need absolutely need the rear toe arms to correct the geometry at that camber level? I've read about some guys running -4 in the back on OEM arms

Y'all are great. Unfortunately the car is far from being "absolutely non-functional" as its still my daily driver, still pulls away from "functional" cars in the canyon (but that is more dependent on the driver), and is still fun as hell to slide (probably more than ever). I don't do it for "hardparking", I drive it 90% as hard as I ever have. The thing about slamming a car that is built for handling is that it still drives pretty damn good even with a completely retarded suspension geometry. Understeering is annoying but it's only certain turns and even then it's still better than a stock WRX. If you're going to hate on low cars at least bring some interesting arguments. TBH I'm tempted to go lower all around with stiffer springs but then it would actually be fucking impossible to drive. My fuel tank is already dented enough lol.
Agreed on the spacers and rep wheels though hahaha it's a work in progress. Trying to save for a trip to Japan now instead of blowing it all on dumb car shit. Quote:
