Under manifold vacuum line for dedicated BOV source?
Picture stolen from @Sniper2606
Since I'm using the EVAP harness to control the EBCS, can I delete the EVAP solenoid, plug the hardline that leads the EVAP solenoid, and use the manifold port on the bottom side for a vacuum/boost source? Did a search but just kept finding threads about putting clamps on and leaving EVAP as-is. What does the EVAP solenoid do when no voltage is applied? NO or NC? Is it OK that the solenoid sees boost anyway? TIA https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2845/...07e2f1cd_b.jpg |
It's normal close, but that line will pop off at 10+ psi.
You can definitely use it as a vacuum source. I've deleted mine, just to simplify things and reduce a bit of weight. |
Go ahead and delete it and use that port as a vacuum source if you want.

Cool, thanks guys. That's what I thought. What feeds the EVAP solenoid anyway? a charcoal canister?
