Collapsed PCV outlet hose to catch can

2 Attachment(s)
I installed a catch can from the earlier this year and just noticed that the outlet hose that goes from the back of the block to the catch can has pretty much collapsed (see pictures). This sort of intakes that somehow there vacuum inside the block?! or the heat somehow got to it? The hose from my catch can to the breather port of my Edlebrock SC is fine.

I bought the braided reinforced vacuum hoses at the same time and just cut it into 2 pieces. DID I BUY THE WRONG KIND?! I checked the catch can and there a little bit of oil as expected. When I installed the catch can I removed the bronze filter and replaced with steel scrubbing pad to allow better flow. I don't feel any issues or CEL but something is definitely wrong if the PVC hose collapsed. Previously without the catch can the hose provided by edlebrock worked perfectly.

Let me know if there a specific vacuum hose I need that for this application many thanks

I could be wrong but the looks like GP air hose to me. I can make out W P which stands for working pressure.

Thanks for the link looks like it is an Air hose the WP was 300PSI from your data sheet temp was only up to 200F

You're going to replace that with PCV hose?

Yeah since I never had a problem with either the OEM PCV hose or the one from the edlebrock SC kit I'm guessing PCV hose has a higher temp rating. Are you suggesting something else?

I would get silicone vacuum tubing.

I would imagine the GP hose would collapse under vacuum.

I haven't looked specifically for PCV hose/Vacuum hose.
