SOLD

Car is beautiful and in great shape, one original owner, clean title in hand, 0 accidents.

Extensive records kept. Car was regularly serviced by ModBargains in Southern California and by Neal at The Racer’s Line in Northern California. Engine oil was changed every 5000 miles or earlier (most recent service performed last month at 68.8k miles) Transmission and differential fluid changes were performed every 20,000 miles (most recently at 59.5k miles, brake fluid replaced during that service as well).

Edelbrock supercharger installed at 55k miles, updated bypass valve installed at 66k miles, unit has performed beautifully. CARB sticker is on the underside of the hood.

Car was dyno tuned in-person by the one and only Zach at CSG. Tuning maps were created for 91 pump gas and E85 flex fuel, both with the stock header and with a catless UEL header (Open Flash). Car produces 319 WHP/235 Tq with E60+ FF and 292 WHP/217 Tq on 91 pump gas. Power production is very smooth and the setup is rock solid with a Perrin oil cooler.

Not only is this a very good build, but this is one of the best For Sale posts I've ever come across. Best of luck getting that much though... I've been monitoring this forum for a really long time, and I think the vehicle will be with you for quite awhile at that list price - just my $0.02.

GLWS!

Most boosted twins sell for mid-high teens. Don't ever spend the money to boost one unless you're 100% sure gonna keep it lol. Not a cheap endeavor and you get a measly 10%-20% of those costs back if you sell.

Car was recently listed for auction; however, the auction winner didn't follow through on their end and the car has been released for sale.

So here is a chance to buy this car if you were previously interested but missed the opportunity.

Car is a beauty.but too bad my dumb ass dont know much about car.lol
It just sound expensive to maintain for a daily.

Jansen 03-02-2021 03:44 AM

Can someone explain this like im 5 “Car will need to be flashed with a flex fuel tune before running E85.” Thank you

FastMatt 03-02-2021 11:26 AM

This car is an expensive to maintain as any other car, the maintenance fundamentals are the same.

Regarding your second question, when the car is tuned/dynotuned for a specific type or grade of gas, the settings are saved as a tune file. This process can be performed to optimize performance based on any changes made to the engine, exhaust system, gas, etc. Flashing the tune means loading a different tuning file or "map" into the ECU. Currently the car is running a 91 pump gas tune, allowing it to pass smog as the rear O2 sensor needs to be read in order to pass. If you're fine with sticking to 91, you can leave the car alone and enjoy the car as-is. If you want to take advantage of E85/flex fuel and the extra power that it can unlock, the car will need to be flashed with the flex fuel tune before filling up with an ethanol-based fuel. In this case, flashing the ECU is done by essentially uploading the optimized tune file into the ECU using an Ecutek computer/cable interface.

It was my daily without any issue. The only thing that's somewhat aggressive with how it's currently setup is the front camber. If you have the suspension re-aligned to remove the front camber, which is currently set to -5 degrees, it would be better for daily driving. For added comfort, the dampers can be set softer (knob adjustment on the top of the strut) and the ride height can be set higher using the airlift controller in the car.
