Can't figure out my brake (non-)issue
 

OK, so my first track day went just fine with regards to brakes, I swapped out the stock pads for some StopTech street performance pads right before the event. So, brand new identical pads and this is how my wheels looked after the event:

The car did not pull under braking and when I jacked it up both wheels spin freely. I would concur that the passenger side is dragging but, like I said, the wheel spins freely. What else should I be looking at?

Not knowing much about this, could it just be the pads wearing, has it happened again since they were new. If so I have no idea. But if not it might just be them wearing in from being new.

Pedal dance? Ebd can go a bit spastic sometimes and so can the other nannies if allignment is out by a decent amount.

Maybe cuz you didn't break them in?(you worded it like you went straight to the track :iono)

Haven't really driven it since the track day to be honest, I don't think I've put enough miles on to generate any brake dust :lol:. Don't really have anywhere close to me where I can do some spirited driving.

Ah, yeah, I spent the weekend with traction control fully on until my final 2 sessions on the 2nd day and then EBD was still active (first time on track in 8 years, I was being super cautious). I think we might have a winner here.

10 threshold stops from 60 to 10 MPH with only a bit of braking in between and then drove around for 10 minutes with only gentle braking to let them cool down.

Super delayed response, but if you haven't figured it out by now, that's just TWS. It's hard on the front passenger corner, particularly TC on. I've seen you at TWS a couple times since then, so I'm sure this is a moot point, but just in case anyone else was wondering...

More left turns than right could do this.

Modern ABS also have EBD which controls line pressure to each wheel separately.

Your brake dust pattern might just be confirming the EBD function is engaged a lot on that particular track. Left front brake is not being applied as hard as the right front, on average.

F1 cars aren't allowed to use EBD and lock up the less loaded tire accordingly. EBD gives street cars added safety by utilizing ABS selectively for each of the four wheels.

Yeah, I gave the brakes a thorough going over and didn't have the same issue at MSRH so just put it down to being TWS. Thanks for the reply. Hopefully I'll get another run out at TWS before the end of the year, such a shame they're closing it :(, and I run with TC off now (as was evident last time out where I did some weed whacking in turn 6); I'm in the big boy's club ;).
