Yellow warning sticker
 

I noticed this on the drivers side door frame of my recently acquired 2014 FRS. It seems to be official it has the vin on it.

Does anyone know what it is for?

Good question. Mine doesn't have that. But if you really need that last bit of carrying capacity you bought the wrong car haha!

It means options were added to the factory (before it was shipped from Japan) which lowers the total weight the car can carry before its at gross weight. Do you have fog lights?

Thats a good guess but what is 13 pounds??? I am sure fog lights cant be that much can they?

True... I Doubt it. I wonder if OP has multiple parts added at the facroty? Any TRD parts?

It's been brought up before, and the consensus was that it's a sticker added on at the port for any post-factory modifications, ie TRD exhaust, fog lights, etc, etc.

Maybe OP has a spoiler thats probably 13 pounds?? TRD stuff is a good guess too. I really want to know now hahahaha

I have factory fog lights and I don't have that sticker.

I have spoiler and fog lights. Sadly no TRD parts. So that is probably the answer

Or both, it's been on other cars with just a trunk mat if I remember correctly. It's definitely a simple way to avoid litigation on Toyota's part.

My sticker says "No fatties allowed" but I drive it anyhow.

Of course, it's not just the spoiler weight it's the downforce it generates. Hahaha

It is the spoiler. I have it as well and the dealer themselves put it on when they installed it.
Bit of a pain weighing myself, my passenger and all my gear every time we get in the car but the sticker does say "caution" so I don't want to take any chances.

I have that same sticker on my 2016 and it's a bone stock model, no extra parts at all.

Oh wait, I have the trunk mat... I guess they just slap it on there for anything at all.

:lol: Yup, that's what the sticker is known for, all that means is it's a port installed trunk mat or was done at the factory

I wonder how much the sticker weighs? Do they have to add another sticker warning about the weight the first sticker added? And then another to warn about the 2nd sticker? Will it ever end?! ;)

I would love it if they did. Each sticker adds at least +5 horsepower. Totally helps with power to weight ratio.

@Malcolm you have TRD lowering springs installed by SET (Southeast Toyota) which lowers the car's carrying capacity.



@D_Thissen all of the available options are installed here at port.

As stated before ... it's slapped on for any additional items that were added to the car. I do not have lowering springs, fogs or a spoiler, but I do have the trunk matt. Interestingly ... I do not recall seeing it until after the 1st free service, but I may be mistaken.

Maybe they put too much oil in!
