Anybody looking for a Starlet in SoCal...
Came across this since I'm looking for a 1st gen Celica. Needs some work but damn, haven't seen one of these in years!

I want one sooo bad. He's asking for to much though honestly
|
I love 1st gen Celica too. I wanna put 1JZ or v6 engine
|
So many awesome car ideas and so little money and time... :(
|
Looking for one, but far far far from SoCal. Wouldn't pay 4k USD for one either.
Have a semi built CA18ET with a T28 waiting, with custom mounts, ready to drop in. |
^ sounds fun.
I got a 3sgte sitting in the garage I'm thinking about putting into a kp61 instead of the mr2 |

Even 2600 USD is too much for that thing given the condition it is in. $1500.. in this economy and after Obama's State of the Union speech is probably realistic. I like the "TRD spl-coat hanger radiator support" he has mounted! :bellyroll: Quote:

Guy locally dropped the price on an ST165 Alltrac Celica down to $1200. Soooo tempting... All he says it needs is rear brake lines and starter (and it's cosmetically rough).
I could pull the trigger on $900 and not feel bad if it's fubar'd. |

Here's 2JZ inside vid. [u2b]bOqusNuBQUQ[/u2b] I also like 1JZ's lil high pitch revving [u2b]JtT4nW5Gm6Q[/u2b] ...but I do like classic sound of v8 engine rumble too [u2b]fVCEDMi0iNk[/u2b] so much options... so lil money. lol Quote:

If I can get that ST165 for $900 I'm doing it. They are soooo rare. WRC heritage! But I will have to sell the Legacy to make room and have some funding to fix it up. Good match for the Supra, they're both '89s. I was looking at a first gen Celica 3 years ago, all original for $4000. Condition was good enough to qualify for collector plates. I ended up going for the Supra instead. Long-term that might have been the wrong choice. Classic, unmodified Japanese sports cars are going to be the next collector items... |
I'll go on old school way just like top secret, 2TG with 40mm side draft or 18RG With 40mm side draft or better yet join the 2TG & 18RG to make a 3TG.
