Ditto, I was def stalking these wheels a couple of months ago, but sadly no pics at work, :(

Those look sharp; I've had my eye on them for a while now, but was a little disappointed that a 16x7.5 wheel was nearly 18 pounds...

I'm no wheel expert, but for this kind of money, I'm guessing that they're cast. Maybe they would have been pushing the limits of safety if they had made it 16lbs? Just guessing. As soon as a picture of a broken rim shows up on the internet it's all over-no matter how good they look. According to TreadDepot marketing: "The rim of the Oversteer was spun in a roll forging", whatever that means.

Available in:
Gloss Black.
Gloss White.
And Opal.

16x7.5 +45 17.9lbs
17x8 +45 19.lbs
18x8 +45 19.6lbs
18x9. +42 20.lbs
19x8.5 +45 21.2lbs

For our cars, these are also available in:

17x8 +45 19lbs
18x8 +45 19.6lbs
19x8.5 +45 21.2lbs

I was dead-set on these wheels the moment I saw them, about four months ago. I'm REALLY satisfied with how they look on the car. Personally I think they look quite a bit more expensive than they really are. Konig did well. :-)

I think this might be an option if I can get my Kojins sold. Its one extreme or the other, the oversteer or the ssr gtv03s...

Decisions

Yeah, they certainly get props for being affordable. Konig advertises their wheels as being 'flow formed', which is a similar process to forging. (http://flowformingtechnology.com/wha...owforming.html) It seems that it's only applied to the rim portion of the wheel and not the face, but I guess the rim is the area you need the most strength anyways.

I believe TireRack has several low pressure cast and gravity cast wheels in the same size that are lighter, so I'm still a little puzzled as to why the Konigs are so heavy for a relatively small wheel, but I guess the upside would be that the weight means added strength? Dunno. Konig also has several models in similar (or even larger) sizes that are noticably lighter, so again, a little puzzled/disappointed. The two big reasons for my interest in 16's is weight and ride quality.

At any rate, they do look nice against the black, and I bet the taller sidewall of the 16 is a big improvement over the stock 17s; I sure noticed a difference when I put my winter 16s on... The roads up here in central New England are just hideous...

I've decided to buy these in a 18x9 with 42+. I can't wait to see them on my car!

I just order a set from 4wheelonline, with Nitto tires combo. Can't wait to receive and install them.

That looks really good! Are you on stock suspension? If so, how close are you to the strut in the front?

Thanks.

Thanks. You need to see it in person to take in the beauty. I have a 5mm spacer that fits in between the tire and perch. Now keep in mind I'm running 225-40-18. It's pretty close but if it's too close just get a 3mm spacer. I am on stock suspension but I will get me some TRD springs soon and I'll update this thread.

Your car was the inspiration but I wanted 18s instead. They look very aggressive and concave like from all kinds of angles. Asphalt ftw!

Great to see someone else with these, going to order the gloss black ones, how flush are they with fenders?

Did you end up with the gloss black Oversteer? Still haven't seen any yet. In fact, I haven't seen any locally at all, in any color...

You got more pics? I am fapping over buying that combo as well.

Where did you buy them? I emailed konig to ask if they could test fit my AP racing template on a wheel. The didn't even respond so I'm a bit put off. I did that with Enkei and they got back to me same day.

I bought them at a local Discount Tire shop but they did have to special order them (shipped from California warehouse)
I think you can still get them from their online website.
The black ones are out of stock for 2 months but the Opal are available in both 17x8 and 18x8, not sure about the 18x9.
