BRZ HUD Gear Indicator Missing?

I know there's a gear indicator setting that is found under the odometer button, but I can't seem to find it on my 2013 BRZ. I recently adjusted the clutch but adjusted the clutch button as well so it made full contact. Still no luck.

I never checked to see if my car had this feature before I adjusted the clutch, so I was just making sure 2013 BRZs had this feature.

Thanks!

The FRS and BRZ gauge clusters are different, and I don't believe the BRZ has the gear indicator or economy shift indicator as the FRS. If it does, I haven't found it.

Pkush 11-11-2014 05:31 PM

BRZ has both. At least the 2015 Series.blue does.

bababooey 11-11-2014 05:33 PM

my 14 does have both as well

Foobar 11-11-2014 05:34 PM

It's just defaulted off, for whatever reason.

After watching that video I think I may be wrong. I hope I am, will try tonight on my way home from work.

Akari 11-11-2014 05:51 PM

Yeah, my 2013 BRZ definitely has it. Defaulted to off from the dealership.

I'm so dumb, thank you guys =)

confirmed, mine is 1st year and it does indeed have it. I thought it was in the shift light menu, not the odomoeter menu... Its there!

pl1ght 11-16-2014 05:51 PM

Sweet, didnt even know i had this feature, turned it on my '14 limited.

gravitylover 11-17-2014 09:57 PM

I tried a few times and I don't think the gear indicator feature is on the premium model. I can set the rev limit beep but it doesn't go to the next step with the gear indicator. Wouldn't surprise me if I'm missing something...

Don't actually start the car. Just go to accessory power with your key, then you should be able to access the G-on/off when you press through with the ODO / TRIP button.

gravitylover 11-18-2014 07:58 PM

Tried again and it goes odo/trip a/trip b and that's it. Am I supposed to hold the button down or ...?

It's supposed to be on "ON" mode, but don't crank the car. I read people type "Accessory mode", but it won't work in ACC Mode.

When the car is in ACC mode, use the display button to cycle through the menu, it's kinda odd to change the settings like holding it will change it, but if you push it too late it's just going to accept the change (You'll understand when you get there).

Confirmed on 2015 Series.Blue. Just turned the shift indicator on, the gear display and set the revs.
Just press the start button once then cycle with display and holding it makes the change.

What happens exactly? Are you ON mode, with the car off? Is it displaying nothing?

Read the manual it tells you exactly how to do it in easy terms.
In fact just read the manual in general since it tells you all sorts of cool shit in easy terms.

Jesusbrz 06-02-2015 11:52 PM

I took it apart finally and the harnes going to the buttons was disconnected

Our car is an auto. Can I see the gear I am in indicated at all times, constantly and no matter what mode I am in?
I often see it, along with the small up or down arrow, but it disappears after a short time.
