OpenFlash Tablet: OTS v2.0 Beta (132 new maps, 12 new XMLs) Available for Download

Hi guys,
We just want to thank you guys for the support you have shown to OpenFlash team over the last year. We are thrilled to have thousands of happy OpenFlash Tablet owners out there. It keeps us doing what we love! And in this case, it's releasing new maps for you guys to enjoy! A whole lot of them. This is the biggest map release in our history. Currently, they are only for USDM cars. But we will be expanding to support non-USDM cars in the next couple of weeks.

But for now....

v2.0 BETA DOWNLOAD LINK (bottom of page)

132 new maps
-Stage 1, Stage 2 EL, Stage 2 UEL, Stage 2 EL E85, Stage 2 UEL E85
-91oct, 93oct and E85
-Support for 700C, 900C, A00C, A01C, B00C, B01C, 700D, 900D, A00D, A01D, B00D and B01D

Launch control and No Lift Shift is available in all 6MT ROMs.

All ROMs based upon the newest B01C and B01D factory software (for smoother idle and better drivability).

12 new XML files
-If you want to view and/or edit any of the v2.0 OTS maps, you MUST USE THESE XML FILES. This means you will need to delete the old XML files from your ROM Raider database.

-Tuner Pro mapping software is no longer supported so please don't use it.

Not following these instructions and editing with old XMLs may result in ECU failure (dun dun dunnnn). :bonk:

Of course, if you do not want to edit/view the OTS maps, you don't need to do anything with the new XML files. Just upload the OTS maps through OpenFlash Manager and flash your ECU as usual :)

Have a great weekend!!

Cheers,

Shiv, Robert and Garrett
OpenFlash Team

Edit: Looks like I gave you guys the XMLs that don't have Launch Control or Flat Foot shift defined. Sorry about that. So I just created a v2.01 download which has the LC/FFC XMLs included. No difference in maps so no need to reload v2.01 maps if you already loaded up a v2.0 map.

Edit (8/4/14): v2.02 just released. Only change is that ZA1JD00C (2015 USDM 6MT) OTS Maps/XML support was added to download folder.

Edit (8/5/14): 8/05/14
v2.03b Released
-Revised ZA1D00C XML that fixes minor definition errors.
-Revised Stage 2 E85 UEL D00C and Stage 2 E85 EL D00C files with corrected cranking enrichment values

Edit (8/15/14):
v2.04b
-Add tuned ROM support for ZA1JD00G (EU 6MT) and ZA1JA2A (DOM 6MT) Calibration IDs.
-XML files for ZA1JD00G and ZA1JA2A have also added to v2.04 XML folder. Launch control and Flat-Foot Shift is not implemented yet.

Edit (8/20/14):
v2.05b
-Add tuned ROM support for ZA1JA01N (EH 6MT) and ZA1JA03N (EH 6MT) Calibration IDs.
-XML files for ZA1JA01N and ZA1JA03N have also added to v2.04 XML folder. Launch control and Flat-Foot Shift is not implemented yet.

Thanks for this

Where do you see the most gain with these? Does the open-loop fueling table finally match actual AFRs?

mmmcambelsoup 07-25-2014 03:54 PM

For some reason, I am unable to extract the files due to some encryption error.. @Shiv@Openflash

Just hit yes and it will extract. That message is from shiv using disk encryption on his mac. You can safely ignore it.

wparsons 07-25-2014 04:19 PM

2.0 is definitely worth upgrading to. I've had the privilege of being part of the early beta test, and it runs great.

I just downloaded the new files from the link Shiv posted, they extract just fine for me.

That sucks, I hit yes and it ends up with another pop up "A problem is preventing this forlder form being encrypted" and just keeps erroring out.

**EDIT**
So I hit yes several times and then it worked! thanks.

Danklvr 07-25-2014 04:30 PM

Not seeing FFS/LC on the new 2.0 B01C with the new RR Def file.
Want to disable them in the rom now that they are finally avail...

edit : v2.0 UEL 91Oct

anyone else notice the same, or am i blind?

**EDIT**
So I hit yes several times and then clicked skip several times.. it ended up downloading. Is there stage 2 'UEL'? I only see 'EL' stage 2.

You need to hit yes for them all. It's saying that for every directory. Better yet, hit apply to all then hit yes.

Looks like a graphical limitation of the number of characters displayed.

Aerok 07-25-2014 04:36 PM

Now I just have to wait to get off work so I can update my OFT.

Thanks.

Lytheum 07-25-2014 04:36 PM

can i suggest putting the version and octane in the file name for future releases? Something like Stage 1 v2.0 93oct 700c or whatever.

CaptainSlow 07-25-2014 04:38 PM

I"m not able to get them to open properly in Rom Raider...gives me this error:

http://i.imgur.com/OTLajvl.png

I deleted all the XML files in the RomRaider folder and replaced them with the new ones in this version pack...am I doing something wrong? Missing something?

Ignore the checksum error messages in Rom Raider. OpenFlash Manager corrects the checksum automatically when you load a file. No need for Rom Raider to do it.

CaptainSlow 07-25-2014 04:50 PM

Ah, OK great! Thanks!

Walla Walla 07-25-2014 04:52 PM

@Shiv@Openflash

That is a communication code. You plugged the oft while it was communicating with the ecu. No big deal. Just clear it.

Help. Mac with Parallels
Everytime I try to connect with OpenFlash Manager 1.08.03 it prompts me to update. When I hit OK it gives an error message Access to the path 'C:\OpenFlash\OpenFlash Manager.exe' is denied.

Same error.

Right click Openflash Manager/Security/check Full Control.
Worked.

I assume we can expect a good gain from 91 to 93 tunes?

CamryDS 07-25-2014 07:07 PM

cannot wait to go home and test this!!!

Smoke Destructer 07-25-2014 07:36 PM

I'm not seeing launch control or flat foot shifting in rom raider either. Other than that I'm stoked for the new maps!

355rockit 07-25-2014 07:37 PM

The v2.0 OTS uploaded to the ECU without any issues. I let her idle for almost 5 minutes. On drive-off idle car tried to stall, but after getting to first traffic light, idle was fine. Smooth acceleration. Did a mellow and then spirited run. Brought her home and hooked up OFT and went for a drive to get some logging. See link to log below.

2014 FR-S
FT86 Speedfactory catted UEL header
TRD Intake
OFT V2.0 tune file Stage 2 UEL 91 octane.

I'll be doing a long drive with the car club on Sunday, so I'll see how she does then.

Have not tested it as i am on G rom but looks like shiv will need to look at the def files and the patch in the rom for those features.
if the tables dont show in RR down the left hand side in the table directory then looks like the def file is at fault

jupillam 07-25-2014 08:12 PM

went from 1.59 to 2.0beta here!
Gotta say what a change, everything smooth out, feel like a bit more torque below 3k rpm. On the side note here, i recently made a cut to the snorkel, and definitely it makes a difference. Gotta say i love this guy already @Shiv@Openflash
Well done ! worth every single particle of penny.

mmmcambelsoup 07-25-2014 08:20 PM

Am I the only one having ridiculously long write times to the tablet itself? It also wont let me write multiple files to the tablet at once. It only lets me click 'start' if I'm writing 1 at a time.:iono:
