Liquid leaking
2 Attachment(s)
I went for a 40 minute drive and had the AC on for maybe 20 seconds.
But I noticed this leak underneath my car under the passenger footwell. It doesn't seem to be oil, but I do know these cars have the "missing" engine coolant. Could this be it? Anything else? |
If it's just water, it could be AC condensation.
If it's coolant, it should be colored and have some smell to it. From searching: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...php?p=1482517; pics look similar. |
I'm hoping somebody can confirm it is ac condensation from the pics.

Also, were you driving with defrost on? By default defrost turns the AC on to remove moisture from the air to aid in unfogging the windshield |
Drainage tube is connected to trans/exhaust tunnel on passenger side of frame, right about at that location. Feel up there should be able to grab the rubber utter.
|
No front or rear defrost. But I did have the front air option to defrost/footwell. Unless its different with this car, that shouldn't turn on AC.
I didn't taste it, but there was no smell. I'm fairly sure it was water, but I want to double check. |

It seems to be about right as the location of the AC drain. I think thats it.

Most likely it's water. Heck, have a taste .... that will tell you. No, no matter if it's stale water, coolant, gas or oil .... a taste ain't gonna hurt ya ....;)

Worked good, but you had to move fast, to catch them just after they fell off the hay bale and before they threw up ..... http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...mages/woot.gif @subiestyle ..... I'm pretty sure what's dripping out of your car ain't vodka .... :iono: humfrz |

:slap: ..... bad boy! |
The water is from the ac drain line that goes from the passenger side firewall onto the ground there.
It's condensation that's removed from your interior. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Whenever your car is on either defrost only or defrost/foot, your A/C will be on on any car you drive. So the dripping is 100% condensation, that's where mine drips when I have the ac on.
