What are your specs?

I was speaking with a friend of mine earlier discussing computer builds and the components we each had. Out of curiosity, what are you running?

I have:

AMD Phenom II X4 @ 3.4GHz
Asus M4A88TD-V (EVO/USB3)
8GB DDR3 RAM (can't remember speed)
1TB Western Digital HDD (Sata6)
Sapphire/AMD Radeon HD7770 GHz Edition with 1GB GDDR5
ThermalTake 750W PSU
Cooler Master Centurion case (oldie but a goodie!)
Random Plextor and LG optical drives
Vizio 32" 720p TV for a main monitor

I use it to play Minecraft, Portal (1 and 2), A game called Beam.NG Drive, and a little startup that just got Greenlit by Valve/Steam called 'Crashtastic'.

What do you have?

:hitcomputer:

Uh, it's something.

It won't run abadonware unless i turn on all the CPU's, all i could tell you.

ZionsWrath 01-18-2014 10:26 PM

Don't really remember, I built it like 3 years ago. Has served well thus far and I really only play SC2 on it so no need to upgrade until SC3 cums out in maybe 10 years lol

i5 2500
Radeon 6950 2 GB
8gb ram
SSD and HDD
Some Z87 motherboard
Some corsair case
Some 21" (i think lol) monitor

I'd share a photo but you will all think I'm an alcoholic it is surrounded in beer cans, last night was my day off.

Cost me like $1000 when I built it, that is the price range I try to stick with. My computer before that cost the same and it lasted me like 7 years, and just recently died after about 11 or 12 years. I only upgraded it because SC2 came out and it couldn't handle it on the single core processor :bellyroll:

I really need a new case. Mine has absolutely no cable management and is loud.
The case is one of the things I rarely upgrade.

EVGA GTX 660Ti
Intel 520 series 180GB SSD

I'm with you on needing a new case. The original Centurion (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119068) has absolutely ZERO room for cable management and since my PSU isn't modular, I have no place to put the 10 4-pin molex plugs or the 2' cables they're attached to. SATA running all over the place. I think I would benefit from a second GPU too, running in Crossfire. Not sure if it's totally necessary though... Decisions, decisions.

And whilst you are coasting along with a 4235 PassMark score, the laptop I am typing this on scored a whopping 610. I guess that's what you get with an old Mobility 4250 paired with an Athlon II P340. My 8GB of DDR3 1333 helped though

What kind of FPS you getting on Facebook? I hear that's a pretty graphically intense game! :bellyroll:

That's basically what mine looks like on the inside. It's an older cooler master. I would post a pic of the inside of mine but it would make people cry.

Mine would make people cry. I sometimes have to move SATA cables out of the way of my CPU fan blades.
