been on my list to order.

I met a guy that tracks with these and he highly recommended them. I picked up a set to replace my SPC set, but have yet to install them. I am only weary of the degree of camber adjustment.

DaiTT500 01-10-2014 08:35 PM

it does not look like much camber adjustment and to me seems a little difficult for the alignment.

The camber adjuster wont work. First, unless the adjuster eccentric is adjusted so that the bolt is jammed into the end of the arm, and the eccentric is jammed against the set screw, the arm will be able to move axially. Secondly, they're using a set screw that doesn't even seem to be threaded all the way through the arm, as a bearing surface absorbing all force transmitted along the length of the arm and the friction of the arm moving about that pivot point. I'd be shocked if that arm made it five minutes down the road before the set screw was either snapped off or just pushed out of the aluminum.

Am I missing something with that camber adjuster? (serious)

chutrain 01-10-2014 11:12 PM

I'll have to pull the arms out and take a look at closer.

Won't the static friction of the main bolt take the load upon install? That little pin is just for setting the position not taking the load. I'm assuming the bushing has a metal center that everything clamps down on a bit.

That idea works with a strut to knuckle bolt because the those two parts remain stationary with respect to each other. But the control arms oscillate up and down and that bolt is the pivot point.

FrsDuke 01-12-2014 03:27 PM

But the bolt doesn't pivot in the swing arm the bushing pivots on the bolt.

So your saying there's no relative motion between the arm and the bushing when the bolt is clamped down... You very well might be right.

Here are some pics. I think these should be fine. Like it better than the SPC that I am running now.

It's just the only way I can see it would work :)

the metal insert in the bushing is where the motion takes place. the bolts in the arm don't rotate.

FrsDuke 01-12-2014 10:00 PM

Exactly

Travisty75 01-12-2014 10:22 PM

Anyone know what the camber range with these arms would be?

For the price, they look like an exceptional choice.

That's a good question, nothing listed under description or specs in the link

Did you find this out with your set?

I'm sorry, but I did not. Hopefully a different member, @chutrain maybe, can answer that question for you when he gets them installed and a new alignment? :)

solidONE 01-28-2014 12:07 AM

Raw aluminum? I would think thees will have some problems with pitting on the bare aluminum surfaces.

jamesm 01-28-2014 12:41 AM

those look badass. i have no idea what they do or why i would want them, but yet i do anyway. weird.

fr_s 05-22-2017 03:00 PM

anyone have further updates on the quality and adjustability of this unit? debating between these or the rsr...
