Installed in about 10 minutes. It was pretty simple. There's 4 x 14mm bolts holding it on with some 12mm nuts. Very straight forward.
Use some WD-40 to loosen the rubber mounts and it will pop right out.

Fitment was perfect! Exhaust isn't broken in yet. It was super quiet at first but after a drive it got louder. So far it's pretty mellow and not obnoxious.

I'll upload more later...

My kit was running great for two days then all the sudden it was at zero boost. Felt like it was back at stock. It wasn't a boost leak.

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3750/1...dd461310_c.jpg

Found the problem to be the cotter pin that holds the acuator lever on was too small. It probably fell off or broke off.

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5494/1...468b087c_c.jpg

Drilled the hole with a bigger drill bit.

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2834/1...c00da565_c.jpg

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2859/1...d62f4ed7_c.jpg

Installed a bigger cotter pin. Hopefully it should hold up better now.

Second issue was it was leaking oil behind the oil pump where the camshaft is. RTV sealant was used as directed in the instructions but it didn't hold up well.

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5495/1...495b0992_c.jpg

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3833/1...c715d81c_c.jpg
Pump removed with old sealant.

All the pieces cleaned up and old sealant removed.

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5510/1...cff0d2f7_c.jpg
New sealant to be used. This is what toyota uses from the factory. It sets in about 15 minutes so you don't have to wait 24hrs before it can be driven.

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5547/1...9a69e475_c.jpg
The block side was cleaned off and new sealant applied.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7451/1...5d2659a9_z.jpg

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2860/1...8beb6c18_c.jpg
Done for now.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7460/1...8027da02_c.jpg
Got these Forester turbo gaskets that will be installed soon. There's a minor leak but not that noticeable now.

Hope this helps in case you guys run into issues. The car feels good now.. dyno tune next week!

12.19.13 Here's an update. I just picked up the race version of this exhaust for some spirited driving on weekends. The quiet version was nice because I can hear the blow off from the turbo better. However, this one is much louder and 2.5" piping made a significant difference for exhaust flow. It now has some backfire so I'll need to get it tuned. Yes, it does drone so I would not recommend if you daily it and have low tolerance to noise.

I know you can pick up any type of similiar exhaust on ebay for about the same price but Top Speed has provided me with amazing service. A lot of the members on here have been asking what kind of hood I have and it is seibon. It fits like crap in real life. There's a huge gap by the fenders which is a manufactering defect. I contacted the vendor I purchased it from (evasive motorsports) and they wouldn't do anything. They even said seibon wouldn't do anything and offered me 5% off my next purchase (what a joke). :(

Anyways, George at Top Speed took pictures of the hood and contacted Seibon directly. Hopefully they'll get my issue resolved. If not, at least they tried and I'll order a nicer quality hood from Japan.

Here's the link to the race exhaust on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Scion-FRS-Su...148e18&vxp=mtr

Anyways, I'll try to get a video together soon. Today was pretty windy so I don't think my camera picked up the sound very well. It really brought out the boxer rumble especially with my avo uel headers. :D

Update for 01.28.14

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5512/1...21c52ebf_c.jpg

Top Speed Auto in Addison ordered a new hood from Seibon for me since the previous one purchased from another vendor didn't fit properly. This one turned out nice! I'll be painting the car a different color so it's just exposed carbon for now.

The ride after was amazing! I have it 7 clicks from firmest and it does not make my head explode. It handles a lot better than the kw v3's. If you're looking for low ride height, I would not recommend these.

Over pipe from Top Speed Auto.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7305/1...1deee2b4_c.jpg
Cat-less front pipe from Top Speed Auto. Both fit 100% spot on. Quality is well worth the price of $179. I will be upgrading to 3" later but I wanted to see how the catless would work out. It smells from the outside but inside it's okay. It opened up the car a bit and I can definitely notice more power.

fitment kinda sucks.. I think I need to modify the hinges. It bulges up right now.

Noted. I will most likely go with Varis hood so I'm hoping to have a little better fitment.

Varis is top notch. You get what you pay for. I like the design of this one though.. maybe I'll switch when they come out with something else I like.

It doesn't feel much smaller than my m3 inside or a porsche 911.

andrewFT86 11-11-2013 06:16 AM

Way to go, carbon roof FTW!
How does the car handle withe the improved center of gravity?

WhiteCar 11-11-2013 06:37 AM

Haha Mr. Champion

BlueDubbinTDI 11-11-2013 06:45 AM

All of that but you still have the stock exhaust?! ;)

Looks freakin excellent I love that minty green accent!

GTHachiRoku 11-11-2013 10:07 AM

Holy wow, amazing car !

Reminded me a bit of :

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...or/5708599.jpg

But I love it!

Villy 11-11-2013 12:23 PM

Love what you did h4nh, I am definitely painting my headlights. The accenting is subtle but visually striking, and the hood adds lots of style - just the right amount of aggression without being over the top. And the roof? I don't know what to say, it is definitely the cherry on the pie. Kudos dude, for having the guts to do that - I don't but I love it so will just wrap the roof on my BRZ with Hexis 3D, should look seamless unless one really scrutinizes it.

PERRIN 11-11-2013 12:36 PM

Nice build, lots of hard work.

What dirt bike do you have there? :)

BRZer86 11-11-2013 12:38 PM

Everything looks super clean. I had to come back to this thread on my computer instead of looking at it on my puny iPhone. Love everything you've done to your BRZ so far. That headlight accent is fresh as hell! Great job on everything.

akahenry 11-11-2013 06:13 PM

Hi Hanh! I love your videos! You should totally do a video with Frank and his Supra!

B L U E S L A T E 11-11-2013 08:53 PM

Quick question, @h4nh, when you took those headlights apart, were you able to tell what was powering the U strips and if it was possible to upgrade the "bulb" that powers it?

Way to go, carbon roof FTW!
How does the car handle withe the improved center of gravity?

There was very minor weight difference if any. I just like it because I have a carbon roof on my m3 as well.

Thanks.. but i have no clue what that is lol. That's not the same color. The color is off a 97 bmw z3 fiji edition. same as my m3 set up.

Thanks! wrapping would be very simple and would look great too.

What dirt bike do you have there? :)

Everything looks super clean. I had to come back to this thread on my computer instead of looking at it on my puny iPhone. Love everything you've done to your BRZ so far. That headlight accent is fresh as hell! Great job on everything.

Thanks!!!

Quick question, @h4nh, when you took those headlights apart, were you able to tell what was powering the U strips and if it was possible to upgrade the "bulb" that powers it?

It's a board with two led's on it.

Here.. the pieces in grey. There's two led's on it. I'm sure you could modify an led light and run a separate wire somewhere. I liked the white led so I kept it. I try not to over do things haha. If you were to black out the whole housing and changed the led's that would look sick!

Not trying to over do either but I feel that the white LEDs powering the strips are kinda weak. I want to see if I can use a higher output Cree LEDs in white. Thanks for answering my question BTW. :)

Edit: I meant high flux LEDs.

H4nh,

I'm located here in Dallas. I'm off 75 and Fitzhugh by downtown. Any chance we could get together soon? There are a few mods I'd like to show you and would really like to see your car in person.

You're welcome bro, glad to help.

They are weak because they're two led's powering each end and the chrome in the back reflects the light. You can make them brighter by replacing the whole strip by somehow fitting an led strip in there... you might have to do some searching to find universal led strips.

Yeah we should make some type of weekend meet. I've been asked by a few people to see my car so it'd be cool if we could all meet up haha.

This is the cleanest and sickest brz I've seen on here..I'm going to have to step up my game haha. I'm from Houston, but if I ever travel up to Dallas for a meet, I hope you'd be there!

Khánh 11-18-2013 02:34 AM

wow! simply amazing!! if u don't me asking how much did it cost to do the roof?

Mr122 11-18-2013 02:52 AM

Cool build. I think that's the first csl trunk I've seen painted, I can't decide if I like it or not.

there's' usually not many cars in the Dallas meets so far, and they're all pretty much bone stock. It'll feel like going to the dealership and parking your car there. lol
