Road trip in South west US, any advice on things i have to check out?
Hi,
Tomorrow i'm leaving for a 1500 mile roadtrip in the US :burnrubber:. I start of in Los Angeles then to San Diego, Palm springs, Scottsdale, Bryce canyon, Grand Canyon and ofcourse Las Vegas.:happy0180: Any suggestions for things i need to see on this trip? |

In LA, of course there's Hollywood and Beverly Hills. If you have the time while you're in Arizona, I'd check out Sedona. |
Another vote for Sedona by way of a side trip North through Prescott Valley to 89A and the historic mining town of Jerome.
A little late for the more scenic Grand Canyon North Rim drive that would add a day to your schedule, but the South Rim is beautiful, too. Check wx for Bryce, flash floods are common this time of year. |

the wheater forecast for the days i'm in that area are all Sunny sky's and no rain.
So it seams i'm not going to see this wheater phenomena Keep the suggestions comming |
Don't go to NM or West TX, really Ugly.
That said, from San Antonio - East is really nice. I know that's not your way but just a tip on a nice area Also if you get the chance, I'd say go Highway 101 north all the way to Seattle, twisty and pretty |

I already have hotels booked in the city's i mentione in my first post :slap:, so i'm pretty much fixed to those areas and everything in between |

Why is everyone saying that the southwest is ugly? There are some incredibly scenic locations in New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and California. It's a very different landscape than Belgium, but I really can't understand some of these comments...

I'm in sedona, if you come by I can take you to Jerome and show you sedona
|
If you're committed to Bryce Canyon Nat'l. Park, you really should add at least a half-day for Zion Nat'l. Park that's sort of on the way. They're completely different.

When you're in az reach out
I can take you to the first pic under az down the street from me. |
There are a lot of brothels in Nevada if you feel like scoring some hookers and STI's (no, not the car). Salt flats perhaps but that might be too out of the way for you. Good luck, have fun :D

If you go to Sedona go from flagstaff and take the back way, nonhighway. I got married in Sedona overlooking the red rocks. The painted desert is amazing.

Utah and Colorado are nice, but not really southwest. TX is the nicest looking SouthWest state IMO. |

If you're leaving via LA after Las Vegas take CA 2 (Angeles Crest Hwy) through the mountains.
