Horrorbiz's BRZ
http://chrispiascik.com/wp-content/u.../BRZenkei3.jpg
I went to the Subaru dealership on a whim a few weeks ago to test drive a BRZ. I wasn't planning on buying one—at the time I had a 98 Impreza wagon with suspension upgrades, WRX wheels that I daily drove in addition to a 2011 WRX w/ lots of mods, making 305whp, 330wtq. Before I knew what was happening I was signing paperwork to purchase the BRZ. I sold the 98 Impreza, and I am keeping the WRX. If I told 18 year old me (driving an 88 Chevy Celebrity) that I'd have a WRX and a BRZ when I was 30 I probably wouldn't have believed it, hah. I have to say, aside from power (and the ability to romp through the snow without any concern), the BRZ is much better than the WRX in almost every aspect. I absolutely love it. The only thing I have changed so far is the wheels. I'm currently running 18x8 et45, Enkei RPF1's with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's in 235/40. http://chrispiascik.com/wp-content/u...6/BRZenkei.jpg http://chrispiascik.com/wp-content/u.../BRZenkei2.jpg The day I got it: http://chrispiascik.com/wp-content/u...13/05/BRZ1.jpg ...and here's my WRX: http://chrispiascik.com/wp-content/u...ng13-front.jpg http://chrispiascik.com/wp-content/u...X-spring13.jpg ...my old wagon: http://chrispiascik.com/wp-content/u...05/GF-side.jpg ...and my first Subaru that started the obsession: http://farm1.staticflickr.com/59/180...840b60d6_o.jpg |
Beautiful list of Subaru. Congrats.

Today I had the Eibach Pro-kit springs + bumpstops installed at Kaizen Tuning. I'm very happy with them. I think the 1" drop is perfect. It's crazy how much lower it is than my WRX which is lowered on The GTWorx RCE/Bilstein combo.

Looks good with the new drop on those rpfs. Wish I had a choice of two nice cars every morning going to work, lol.

I like subtle look w/ a 1" drop and RPF1's. It works flawlessly.

I sold my WRX the other day and got a regular Impreza for winter driving/commuting. I'll be using some of the money I got back for some BRZ goodies. I already got Toms tailights and slear sidemarkers and I ordered the OEM fog light kit and rear diffuser. Here's some new pics my friend took (he's 860go on instagram)

I threw some 05 WRX wheels on the BRZ for winter... but it'll only be driven when it's dry. My Impreza is the daily driver. I think the bronze actually looks pretty nice on the silver. I have to say, between the small size, lightweight, and skinniness of these winter tires, the car is very tail happy. These may get me in trouble! Way too much fun. |
I have a couple crappy photos of my car in winter mode. I only really drive it when it's nice out though.

Nice rides. I have a BRZ with 17x8 +45 RPF1s and just sold our 2012 WRX Hatch as well. Contemplating installing RCE Yellows. It looks like you didn't use/need any camber adjustment parts. Did you get the car aligned after the spring install? If so, what are your alignment specs.

I got my car tuned today at BrenTuning here in MA. I'm very happy with the results!
195whp/156wtq... the dip was pretty much obliterated. I have a Perrin drop-in filter, OpenFlash UEL header, and an Invidia Q300 catback. http://chrispiascik.com/wp-content/u...RZ-BT-DYNO.jpg |
My BRZ was garaged all winter and I've finally been driving it again. I love this car so much. I started to question it over the winter when I wasn't driving it, but one good drive totally erased any doubts I had. With my current tune I am totally satisfied with power and I think I'll just enjoy it the way it is.
