All ready for delivery, except for needing it's acid bath and bumper clear bra. I'm picking it up Thursday. Here it is today. Crappy iPhone pics.

Hopefully the Omaha 86 club is up soon. We can organize a meet!

Khazzy 04-20-2013 08:46 PM

That was not you today then right?

No, sir. This will be sitting there until Thursday.

Khazzy 04-21-2013 12:38 AM

Ahh gotcha. Well still congrats on the purchase. More and more BRZ/FRS' are showing up around town. Should be enough for a nice meet eventually.

husker741 04-25-2013 01:44 AM

Alright, tomorrow is the big day! Picking it up at about 11, then taking it to Lexus of Omaha right away to get 3M clear bra applied to the bumper and door edges (the Scion dealer has it sent out, so I thought I'd just take it to the dealer that I've had do stuff for me before). Then probably 5 hours of driving around town :). I probably won't be able to sleep tomorrow, because I'll be working on getting all my stuff put on. I can't wait!

husker741 04-25-2013 04:25 PM

husker741 04-27-2013 06:27 PM

First night I installed all my LEDs, shark fin antenna, and T1R mirror overlays. Last night I installed HIDs. I will get pictures at night and post them up.

husker741 04-27-2013 06:27 PM

Installed the Perrin intake inlet hose. Took away the stupid noise generator to the cabin so it's a little quiter inside the car now. Also, I got Crystal Fusion applied today, which helps bead rain off the windshield and protects more against chips and cracks. It also makes it that if something does happen to the windshield, they pay for a new one through the OEM. It's not like an insurance agency where they will get me cheap aftermarket shit.

Here's a couple quick shitty iPhone pics.

nice work!

husker741 04-27-2013 11:59 PM

Alright so again, crappy iPhone pics and videos. The glare kinda ruins how nicely lit all the LEDs look, and the HIDs do not look that blue at all in person. Mostly white with a small bit of blue. I really like how everything turned out. The pics just suck with the glare to really see how nicely lit everything looks.

Someone had a busy day indeed! Good stuff on the lighting! Who did you go to for your LEDs? I love mine from DiodeDynamics. Also, all HID's will show blue in pics, you should see a photo I took with the BRZ boomerang LED strips lit. Super blue!

Thanks! I got a few different company's LEDs. Check the OP to see the exact places.

Car is still at the shop getting the new window put in and all the glass cleaned out. Someone decided to be a prick and shatter by driver's side window. I'll never understand some people.

It was supposed to have the RCE Starter Kit Lite installed tomorrow, so I guess that's gonna be put on hold.

Khazzy 05-02-2013 11:12 PM

WTF! Where were you parked at?

Work. 114th and Dodge.

husker741 05-04-2013 02:26 PM

Got the car back last night. Like I expected from this thin Subaru paint, there are some chips from the glass. It also cut up the rubber weather guard on the bottom of the window. Touch up paint is on the way, then it will get polished and buffed. I may see if a buddy of mine who has is own detail shop has any recommendations on what would be best to do about it. You can't see the chips from 2 feet away, but looking really close, you can. I'm so pissed that my brand new car had this shit happen.

Khazzy 05-04-2013 04:17 PM

Dude that makes me sad. People need to keep their hands off of each others stuff. Was anything missing out of the car?

Nope, just doing it to be mean.

Khazzy 05-08-2013 05:13 PM

haters gonna hate. Real sorry this happened man.

Still have not seen you around town haha but hopefully sometime. I recently got my windows tinted if you are looking for a shop that does some great work. Auto Glass Tint was the place. L and 88th. They have worked on a couple BRZ/FRS' now so they have experience in it. Lifetime warranty too.

http://www.autoglasstintco.com/

May need to hit you up on that buddy of yours and his detail shop. I have a minor scuff from what looks like a door. couple of chips near it too (just clear coat).

Any pics on the car with the new springs? Or still on hold?

I'm installing my catback, overripe, and catted front pipe tomorrow, then my buddy is installing my RCE kit hopefully this weekend. The detailer owns Exotic Detail. His name is Cory.

Meehow86 05-08-2013 05:19 PM

Damn, I know the feeling dude. Someone bricked the front windshield of my old Miata. People just suck sometimes.

jonnyozero3 05-09-2013 10:17 PM

Look at all these Omaha folks! Very nice. I'm the douche with the dirty DGM running around town. It's okay because she got dirty on the track.
@husker741 - we should all do a meet up at some point. Very curious what yours sounds like now, and how she looks on the RCE yellows.

Anyone else notice FT86speedfactory was doing very well at One Lap? They were beating the 1M until today.

husker741 05-10-2013 01:55 PM

Yesterday was very productive. Dropped the car off and got the alarm installed. Picked that up, went home and grabbed my overpipe, catback, and catted front pipe. Installed all of that last night with some help from some friends. I LOVE the sound. It's the closest I could get to the "boxer rumble" without gettin UEL headers. The butt dyno feels a smoother torque dip and it seems a lot more rev happy. The most restrictive parts were the front pipe and the overpipe. It all went from I think 2.1997 inch piping(don't quote me on that), to 2.5. I'm now debating if I even want headers because I got the sound I want and I don't wanna drop $1k on a good set. We'll see. I'll get some pictures up later. The 4 inch tips really full out the exhaust cutouts in the diffuser and they look much better. I'm very happy with the exhaust and I can't wait to hook up to unichip to get the most I can out of the system.

Well I haven't updated this for 5 months. A lot has happened since then, but not necessarily having to do with mods. I have some warranty stuff to work out, but then hopefully I will be modding more.

I still have not put the camber kit on, but that will be done after my axle is taken care of. Soon, I will FINALLY get some tint put on.

husker741 10-30-2013 02:48 AM

This is what the car looked like 2 days after getting springs installed a few months ago. I still love how it rides, as do the others that have this car. It feels like stock while cruising, but you can definitely tell how much they help in corners. I think the drop is perfect.

husker741 10-30-2013 02:55 AM

I will get a video posted soon of my exhaust sound. I love how it sounds. Even after this long of having it on, it's still my favorite exhaust I've heard on these cars.

I am waiting to hear back from Scion of America about my axle clicking sounds, crickets, rattles, and transmission grinding.

Soon I will be ordering a Grimspeed Strut Tower Bar, MTEC shifter springs, the BRZ trunk lid liner, and a Beatrush red reverse lockout lever. I have my custom WC Lathe Werks shift knob coming in the mail this week.

husker741 10-30-2013 02:57 AM

Red Valenti taillights are also in my future. I would love boost, but I need my warranty as you all can see with the problems I've been having. Hopefully it all gets taken care of.

husker741 10-30-2013 03:01 AM

As for rims, I'm still waiting on what to get. There are so many good options out there, but I want to save up for what I truly want rather than settle. I'll probably do 18's. My top choices are Work Kiwamis, 57xtremes, BBS LM's, CCW Classics, or Enkei RSF5's.

husker741 11-15-2013 05:58 PM

The CR colored Valentis have been ordered and should be here at the end of the month. I have a few other goodies I'm waiting to order for Black Friday sales. Tint should go on soon also. Trunk liner came in and I'll post a pic of that when it's installed. The OEM armrest has been sitting in my closet since March but that should be installed soon also. Slowly but surely it's getting there.

husker741 11-16-2013 06:45 PM

WC Lathe Werks 2.1" white copolymer custom shift knob with 2 small rings around the bottom. Will soon be complimented with a Beatrush red reverse lockout lever. Go Huskers!
