Air bag rebadge for under 40.00
 

Hello,

I did a airbag rebadge getto style. I did it for under 40.00.

its not perfect but it works till I can get the real GT 86 airbag for 800.00. :(

If anyone wants to how to do this cheap mod hit me up . Ill get back to you ASAP. The most I spent was for the emblem and it was 22.00.

where did you get the emblem?

Ebay search for ... ( toyota corolla air bag emblems). I can send you the the vinly sheet you will need painted at no charge brother. I had to buy a sheet of the stuff. I can cut you and mail you a painted pieace.
Just remove the old one, sand the spot you removed smooth, and glue ! You will be good to go. I mail you the back part leather/ vinly part . I have a lot left.

The cutting out and match the material was the hard part. The old ladies at the fabric shop thought I was doing some S&M Sh**. I told them no no no.... Its for my car. They looked at me like yea right.

FYI guys/ gals.. The emblem I found was chrome. I sanded it and painted it black.

OH . Another FYI . DONT use super glue ! If you mess up setting the emblem and you get super glue on your steering wheel you will stain it white! Use good old Elmer's school glue . Trust me I know !

This is off topic but I didnt think this mod was going to blow up like this. The same thing happened when I did a mod to my friends xbox 360 controller with custom LEDs. ( see pic below)

Doing the DYI after the fact might confuse some people and I dont want anyone to mess up there ride.

This is what Ill do to give back to all whos help me. If you want this mod send me your emblem and I will paint it black and set the backing till the material I had for mine mod runs out. I got material for about 10 mods. After that Im sorry.

Send a return envelope with your emblem prepaided and I will send your emblem ready to glue. Just pm me to make sure I still have material. All you will have to pay is the return postage.

Nice! The texture is a wee bit off but unless you're OCD it should be fine.

Yes, your right. The texture is a bit larger on the replacement vinly. The only person that would know this is the person who installs it.

Here is a pic of the airbag reinstalled. It works for me . For the 800.00 I saved I can get more carbon fiber, a tune , new tires, and so on....

All props for this mod goes to Doggy. He did all of the work . I am just making premade emblems for those who dont know or are scared to do this on there own.

I am working on some custom back lit LED toyota / Scion / Subaru emblems for the inside an outside of the toyota / Scion / Subaru emblems . I will be posting video soon as the work is complete. Here is a sample of what I did to a Xbox 360 controller. Also, I am pinstripe master.

Its back on the car. I took it back off to do a little R.N.D.. Im working on back lit LED's for the inside and out. I want it to look classy . I will NOT!!!! be selling the custom work . It will only be going to guys that want to set the car apart and to give back to the gt 86/ Subaru BRZ / FRS family. This car is going to be a classic..

Some do. Some need a little help.:) My mods will go too all who want to do it.

I am not selling anything. If guys on here dont know how to do the mod I will make one for them as long as they send me the embelm and pay for return postage.

My emblem has the posts that stick off the back for mounting. Did you grind these off to mount to the vinyl?
