In development. Interesting design.

That's nice!

What am I looking at? Is that coolant too?

Assuming the pic is from an 86, looks like strange placement behind the radiator, also it doesnt have any fins that i can see, the pic confuses me.

No good. Thats where the turbo goes:evil:

Bomb3r 09-01-2012 01:48 AM

Please explain...

ARC stuff is always pretty, but this isn't making sense!

looks like it.

sw20kosh 09-01-2012 02:00 AM

LOL that looks like an Air-Water intercooler placed between the engine and the radiator. This car must be turbo'd.

Although I could be wrong as the scale is hard to judge...

ttknf 09-01-2012 02:03 AM

My guess is increased coolant capacity, and oil-to-water fluid cooler is what it looks like. (much like an air to water intercooler, where radiating heat isn't expelled through fins, but through fluid-to-fluid transfer)

Ravenlokk 09-01-2012 02:08 AM

This sounds... expensive. :D

RallySport Direct 09-01-2012 02:21 AM

nice, just a gigantic oil to water cooler. So it is like the factory WRX/STi oil coolers, just much larger and prettier :)

Thanks,
Rick

hhmm... water-cooled oil cooler, i wonder why didn't opt for the air-cooled oil cooler setup like the greddy...

my best guess is that this setup results in a much more linear and consistent cooling capability versus the air-cooled setup because that is more dependent on air flow while the car is accelerating

mines13 09-01-2012 02:48 AM

Water to oil coolers typically do not require a thermostat, keeps it simple. Seems like a pretty clean way to do it. Air to Air is typically more efficient but that looks like a pretty massive core...

There was a pretty long thread on this maybe a month ago. Seems nice but my guess is they will charge an arm and a leg for it. I'll just wait for the Perrin air to air cooler.

This thread has a better picture of all of the ARC products for the BRZ.

Im wondering when will these products will be available from ARC specially the intake box. Maybe @BPAuto or @Evasive Motorsports can chime in. Ive been waiting on a sweet intake for so long i just hope ARC keeps this below $1000. :happyanim:

Im wondering what that little box beside the intake is? Some sort of radiator cooling reservoir?

You can see water cooled oil cooler w/ oil filer relocation kit, intake box, intake tube w/ air tube delete and oil catch tank.

VERY VERY SEXY!! I WANT

goke186 09-07-2012 03:10 AM

looks like just the induction box is for sale in Japan for ¥57540 (JPY) so roughly $728.87 (US). It says the oil cooler and intake tube are still under development

slava 10-18-2014 05:04 PM

Bump. Did this oil cooler ever go to production?
