Wing mirrors not working!
Hi guys
My wing mirrors suddenly stopped working  The driver's side only moves up and down while the passenger side doesnt work at all. Could it be the fuse? Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks! P.S. The folding button still works |

Could there be water ingress in the mirrors? Or the switch is broken? Thanks again |

You have folding mirrors?
Where are you from? Is BKK in Korea? I know they are required there. Why, I don't know. They should be required in the UK. The roads are so narrow over there you can tell the American tourists. They're the ones driving rental cars with the passenger mirror dangling on the side from contact with oncoming traffic. But anyway, Are the folding mirrors retrofittable? It would be nice to have one on my passenger side to make more room in the garage. |

Could pharoa ants chew on those wires? Had a few of those crawling on the car for a few days. After a few washes I hardly see one. |

Yep BRZs over here are JDM spec and come with power folding mirrors. I lived in the UK for a while and had a Porsche 987S whilst there with no power folding mirrors. Can absolutely relate when parked along narrow pavements and had to manually fold them :D |
My first thought would be to check the wiring harness plugs associated with the mirrors to see if they aren't loose or corroded.
One circuit is still working. |

I don't want them that bad. |
Quick update:
Went to the garage just now and tried fiddling with the switch. After flipping the switch and folding/unfolding the Mirror back and forth the passenger side started to Move horizontally!! So now I have driver's side Moving vertically and passenger side horizontally. Should I wait until the car is dry and give it another try? Do I have to play voodoo with the car? xD |

Did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in.

When I put the Suburban in reverse the side mirrors adjust down so you have a better view of the ground around you. This is great for us because of where we park the Suburban (top of our driveway) and having to back to the street, down a decent incline. It angles them perfectly so I can keep the left side of the driveway just in the driver's side mirror. This should be a standard safety feature but like rear view cameras. Technically, that should be doable since we have electrically adjustable mirrors and it doesn't involve folding. |
Another update:
Started car this evening and played around with the mirror switch. managed to get driver side fully working again! Passenger side is still stuck with horizontal adjustment |
