Cool. Be sure to post a picture once you have it. Have they gave you a date yet?

tnt 07-18-2012 12:49 PM

sure will when I get it ..... ETA sometime around mid July to Mid August apparently they have a huge backlog on order - even on dealer pre-orders

Are you talking about the FiveAxis kit or the FR-S? I'm actually thinking about getting the kit first and then get the FR-S when its available. That's why I'm asking about the kit.

tnt 07-18-2012 01:16 PM

waiting for the five axis kit and wheels - got the car already

digital_assassin 07-18-2012 01:37 PM

My car may be the reason some of you are waiting. I was told production was stopped when they saw the pictures of my car. I was visited by a Five AD guy to go over everything and they verified the kit production was OK and it was a installer (dealership) error why nothing is sticking to the car. Sorry guys... They did confirm production was OK on Friday so hopefully you will see these kits soon. I can't stress enough how critical the installer gets the alignment correct. If they don't there will be unnecessary stresses on the kit and it will pull away from the car. When you get your kit installed walk around it and look to see that everything is centered and that the kit follows the lines and seams on the car. Check the kit for any gaps where it wraps into the wheel wells, this will be a good cue.

This post will show you what happened to mine due to the bad install

Hi Everyone,

My name is Matt with FIVE:AD. Just wanted to stop by and say hello!

For starters, we're truly looking forward to seeing more photos in this thread for sure. As tnt mentioned, we have received a lot of orders in a short period of time for both the FIVE:AD FR-S aero kit/spoiler, as well as FIVE:AD wheels for the FR-S. We are working around the clock to produce and ship out the kits/spoilers as fast as we can. For wheels (and lowering springs), we are receiving shipments for product every week or so and turning them around as soon as they arrive.

Also want to touch on the fact that we have been working with digital_assassin on his kit/spoiler and confirmed that there were issues with the install. We are currently working with his installing dealership to resolve the issues. As he stated, and as we explained to him, it is very important that the installing dealership align the parts properly on the vehicle to ensure proper install. Since we cannot physically be at each dealerships for installs, we need to rely on dealer technicians to follow the instructions and cover every step. If the install is rushed or steps are missed, that is when problems occur. If anyone has any questions regarding their kit/spoiler, please do not hesitate to contact FIVE:AD directly at info@fivead.net. We are here to help.

For now, and to inspire those patiently waiting, here are some images of completed Five Axis Edition Scion FR-S':

^the wheels on the red frs match that body kit best

bayareakhiladi 07-18-2012 08:59 PM

Hey @ekset

Do you have any FiveAxis FR-S models for sale!!!!!>>????? :iono::iono:

That way I dont have to wait for:
1. Buying a stock FR-S
2. Ordering FiveAxis accessories
3. Installing accessories
4. .....the list can go on!

Just want to get my hands on one! :bonk:

Jeff Lange 07-18-2012 09:00 PM

Kit looks best in any colour except white or silver, in my opinion. Can see too many of the lines too readily on the light colours. Still looks okay, and the spoiler is amazing on every colour IMO.

I have a showroom car I'm working on at the moment with the kit on it, whiteout of course, lol. Pictures coming soon. :)

Jeff

FIVE:AD does not sell the Scion vehicles themselves, only the package components. We are not setup to sell Scion vehicles. :) We work with Scion dealerships to build and sell the vehicles to the public. Also, in purchasing a Five Axis Edition vehicle, even it is off the lot or pre-ordered, the dealerships do the install work for you.

If you are interested in buying a Five Axis Edition FR-S, we would be happy to work with you on putting you in-touch with a dealer in your area. Feel free to e-mail us at info@fivead.net.

Body kit and wheels only.

Front bumper, rear bumper, sideskirts, and lip spoiler. No performance.

I know there are not as many BRZ's, but if FIVE:AD can produce a front bumper add-on for it, I would buy one for the BRZ.

But I've been driving it sorta hard because I'm used to more powerful vehicles :mad0260:

But it's fine if you floor it everywhere, LOL

I've been fighting the urge, most of the time. Less than 150 miles until break in period is done!

ekset 07-19-2012 06:14 PM

Hi All,

We are processing aero kit/spoiler orders daily. We did have a delay in the color matching for the Argento, Firestorm and Whiteout color, which is why these kits have not been shipping as of yet. We have worked directly with Scion corporate to ensure that these colors are a match. We are now amidst catching up on the orders for these colors that are outstanding, along with fulfilling recent orders as well. Still a lot of kits to get out there, but we are working hard on it. If you have a question on a specific order, please feel free to e-mail us directly at info@fivead.net and we will do what we can to help you get an idea for timing.

Thanks again for your patience too for those who have yet to receive their kits. Overall we simply want to ensure to produce and ship the highest quality product. If this means taking some extra time for R&D in certain ways, we will take those steps to ensure that dealers and owners are satisfied.

Also, the S7:F wheels pictured on the Firestorm Five Axis Edition FR-S are 19x8.5, +45 offset. Thanks again everyone!

jedichimp 07-19-2012 06:23 PM

I think the R5:F in stealth chrome is the best wheel 5:AD makes

Enilder 07-19-2012 06:37 PM

sick. probably the best kit in the market atm.

Synack 07-19-2012 07:19 PM

My kit arrived at the dealership today, 3 days after purchase!
Wheels should be in real soon. All should be installed by Tuesday next week!
