Seat belt chime turner offer thing

1 Attachment(s)
This thing comes in handy when I have something on the passenger seat, to shut off the chime. It was $9 for 2 on eBay.

I must be missing something....

Why not just buckle the seatbelt on the empty seat?:iono:

Ultramaroon 04-03-2017 04:35 PM

I'll guess easier to get at it from the driver's seat. Also no strap in the way. I like it.

Cole 04-03-2017 04:46 PM

The better solution is to stow shit on the floor. That way it doesn't go flying off the seat onto the floor anyways

True that...

Personally I just disabled the chime in techstream. I take full responsibility for making sure belts are worn when necessary.

Made me think of this...

Only in North America you get seatbelt chimes and that buzzer for your keys when you open the door.

Then there was this North American exclusive feature.

Your old man experience doesn't matter. We're talking about modern times now.

Yep, I hear that. My uncle, who was a civilian employee at an air base, brought me two seat belts out of a junked airplane, that I installed in my old Chevrolet. After all, with a top speed of 83 mph, one couldn't be too careful. OK, so it was downhill......:sigh:

One of those was from 1998 to 2002.

looked just like this with less rust and more Tremclad primer rolled on.

I had tools on the passenger floor, didn't feel like reaching into the back seat to put the groceries there and I have my lock out tools in the trunk.

The chime turner offer is also great when I am in my ex-wife's apt complex picking up my kids and want to go 15mph without my seat belt on. OMG I drive without a seatbelt sometimes :confused0068:

I don't think you realize how hard tcoat worked to give it that stressed finish. He mixes up special paints and everything.

When I need to charge my Nintendo Switch, you'll be the second plug I pull. First is @Tcoat, third I want to say would he @humfrz but I enjoy his rambling too much, so I'll keep him alive as long as possible.
