What Parts Do You Wish Were Produced For the FR-S and BRZ?
What products would you like to see developed for both the FR-S and BRZ? Whether it be as small as custom door sills or as large as a bolt in 6 point cage (I realize these are both obtainable items), but I want to hear from everybody else!

A fuel pump that doesn't chirp 😅

revised throw out bearing for stock clutch
|
I want to see some better gauge mounting options (high quality)
|
Some additional ideas in this thread
"New parts do you want to see manufactured" and If you could see Extreme Dimensions make a new part for frs/brz what would it be? There may be others. and oh yea... LOUVERS! |
A steering wheel with only what I need on it...A horn button, and simple cruise control buttons...instead of the stupid buttons they've put on the 2017.
(I detest the current cruise control stalk beside the steering wheel...easily confused with the wiper stalk, and not intuitive [down to set and up to resume..odd] ). An engine under the hood which has some low rpm torque. Transmission and rear end gearing which will allow low rpms, running 90mph...for better gas mileage at freeway speeds. Oh sure, this is what you really wanted to hear... |

since were dreaming about things that won't be made, then this.

|
A larger capacity engine as an option.
|
A CARB-legal, PNP, 3SGE engine swap kit.
|
Optional interior color and fabric choices. Also, make the convertible version.
|
STI trim with a 2.5 liter 240hp N/A engine that revs to the moon!

Get rid of the analog speedometer and replace it with oil temperature and pressure gauges that are calibrated in actual degrees. Put coolant temperature in degrees as well. Transmission temperature would be nice too.
Add some map lights instead of just the one overhead dome light. Add a rear dome light because you can never have enough light when you are digging through your car at night. Get rid of the trapezoid shaped factory radio and go to a standard double DIN with analog RCA preamp outputs for an aftermarket amplifier. Get rid of Starlink and support android/iphone mirroring. Drill cutouts in the frame so that you can replace the spark plugs without raising the engine. Heated steering wheel option would be nice. |
Stronger Studs

I just want FT86 Speedfactory to come out with their turbo kit.

I would love to see an Akrapovic exhaust and header for the 86 in full Ti.
If they can do it for the 370Z, why not the 86 series? |
I'd like factory Oil & Tranny temp gauges, and a factory Oil Cooler & Tranny Cooler. Differential fluid temp would be nice as well.
As mentioned in another post, would like that space to replace spark plugs as that is a pita with a boxer. |
OEM Turbo
|
Maybe a damn sunroof that'd be pretty nice too..
|
A subdued front end that matches the lines of the rest of the car, along the lines of the Cb.
|
Heated steering wheel and roof rack/two hitch for mounting bicycles.

Saw blades for sure.
|
Some reasonably cheap lightweight wheels. I'd even take 15" wheels if they were less than 10 lbs and didn't cost $2300 for a set.
|
What about a way for the mirrors to look down when you put it in reverse then back up when you put it in gear/drive?? This is legit a small thing that hasn't be done yet I would buy.

Aftermarket oil dipstick. The oem one is hard to get an accurate reading on.
|
A better than stock one-piece strutbar that is compatible with my supercharger. Used to have the AEM strutbar but the supercharger sits where it used to :(
|
OEM front lip, illuminated door sills, antenna in the windshield, light and lock for the glove box, and extra light in the trunk (or mount it directly underneath the third brake light), frameless mirror with auto dimming, turn signals in the mirrors, retractable sun visor inserts to widen them, LCD dashboard (something bigger than what Subaru is offering), AC controlled via head unit, cargo net, tire pressure sensors that indicate which tire is low, center console like a Tesla, footwell lighting, and puddle lights.
|
The aftermarket got pretty much all the bases covered.
From the factory: Quiet fuel pump. Proper temp gauges. Standard double din headunit frame. Shifter/reverse lockout that doesn't rattle when reving past 4k. Proper oil dip stick. 5x114.3 wheel hubs, so many more wheels in that bolt pattern. Powdercoated OE brake calipers. Winters in the salt belt are killer. Off switch for the tire pressure sensors / multiple sensor sets. Pedal dance switch. Sport mode is overly sensitive. Original concept gas pedal. Better windshield glass: it's way too easy to scratch. |

Auto dimming side mirrors (heated)
|
Non-integrated catalytic on stock header, no cel if you change it
|
Roll up windows, no power locks, and manual mirrors.

That's a handy feature...would be nice for backing into a parking space. My wife's Acura does that. |
A kit to retrofit automatic temperature control to a base FRS...
I really don't need dual zone, so if there was a straightforward "plug and play" way to retrofit the release series of BRZ climate controls without dual zone it would be fine. I don't even care about motorized vent doors... basically I am embarrassed to say that I am so used to automatic climate controls that I find myself wondering why I am too hot or too cold, only to realize that I need to set the controls!!!:bonk: |
kinda putting money aside for the day they release a button that transforms mine into an ae86
