Can't see any sign of blade damage or impact in the video. |
Nothing is broken except the center of Blades.
I bought my FRS 2 months ago. it's a car back 3 years. I had air conditioning problems since day 1. I found the non-functional fans because the engine overheated and the check engine has Alume The dealer said it can not be guaranteed because the radiator is not part of the motor. dealer diagnostic = 69$ + 39$ +tx rent car = 20$ per day repair (by dealer) = 500$ + tx I expect a response from Toyota Canada |

"Palm" est pas le bon mot. Devrait etre "blade" ou simplement "fan". |

That's spooky ......:eyebulge:
I'm guessing that the nut/clip/whatever that holds the fan to the motor shaft came off. But, both at the same time ..... ?? Maybe they were taken off to fix something else and never put back on proper .. ?? Please let us know what was the cause after they are taken off. humfrz |

Radiator fans fall under bumper to bumper warranty, it's not powertrain. -alex |

Have never seen that before. But if you bought the 2013 just 2 months ago, you really don't know what may have happened to it before you owned it. |
and yes, Toyota Canada said this is not guaranteed.
So I brought the car to my house and I repair it myself. Finally as I thought the fans motors working well. only 2 fans was broken (2x 31$ each). Here are pictures of the broken fans: http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...pscrijknes.jpg The center have not the same size (height): http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...psthebq22a.jpg http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps2jpq8nxn.jpg http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...pspwkhytkj.jpg http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps3ixn1hms.jpg http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...psexhok2uv.jpg Here are pictures of the new fans: http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps86yudlye.jpg http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...psmekolsxb.jpg http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...pskigdvgjw.jpg http://i433.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps5qqukfo8.jpg |

This one still intrigues me since both went the same way at the same time and that is a rare occurrence in an equipment failure. |
No hit or impact, Juste a heavy scrape (the fan fall on turning)
& scrape on Rad |
stripped because of the retaining something ?!?
retained by the ice ?!? |

I'll hazard a guess. Fatigue failure from running out of balance.

Do the fan shafts run true.. ?? If not, that would show up when you put the new blades on. Like Tcoat mentioned, both going out at the same time puzzles me. Were you "hot rodding" the fans ??...... :eyebulge: humfrz |
