It's a well established fact that the 1966 Corvette is a cheap copy of the Porsche Cayman.

Right on, I had a black 2002 Boxster S M6, and I loved it. However this car is so much less of a headache AND i get more compliments in this car. "all my friends called my Porsche a Miata and they love the Fr-s go figure"

Yawn, the perennial hater is gonna hate...why are you still here?

So it's not a super car, it is a hell of a sports car that makes some owners giddy enough to call them "supercars"...semantics

@zdr93523 At higher speeds (over 100mph on a track) did you notice any stability differences between your Cayman and your BRZ?

I'm thinking about the next step in my sports car life and I'm torn between a newer Cayman S or going old school Italian, ie Fiat, Alfa or Ferrari pending budget .

The Cayman S is all around more locked down and dialed in than the BRZ but the BRZ isn't bad. The Cayman feels dead smooth at 150+mph.

im here because i like my car. not because im an overzealous fanboy. its like a person getting a corolla with nav and leather seats and calling it a budget luxury car. i dont even know why questioning me if youre not even disagreeing with what im saying. super cars are fast and luxurious. the frs isnt the fastest or most luxurious even in its own price range. things like the z06 or gtr are budgget supercars. the frs is pretty far from that. the frs provides some of the best value per dollar and often times people confuse that with providing some of the best value and it very much isnt the same thing.

Considering a moderately optioned Cayman S is going to cost about $68K... it better feel more locked down and dialed in.. and smooth at top-speed. A BRZ/FR-S/86 at about $25K being compared at some level with such a high-end Zuffenhausen product speaks volumes...

And performance notwithstanding... cost-of-ownership (post-purchase) correlated with price-performance... and is it any wonder "86 owners" are smitten?

I've driven both ends of the spectrum... and for everyday 7/10's daily driving... the smile on my face is still there after 18 months of ownership and my wallet is smiling too!

Yea very true. The BRZ is amazing for the price. I was simply answering a question. After I bought the Cayman, I took the BRZ for a drive expecting to feel a little love lost for the BRZ but I immediately had that grin on my face again. They are different and the BRZ is really fun to drive.
