Y'all are saying "awe 225hp isnt that much", ok so no, On one hand I prolly have a bit more so I cant say I know what that exactly feels like, BUT
guys, these cars dyno far less stock. 50-60 is alot to add. The thing is, I do not see very many posts where someone has actually driven one, yes, one that has been built right(that can vary but I mean a car not over rim-med or over-tired-my wheel and tire combo is 39lbs, that car will ride different than a car with 255's that weigh 30 lbs and a wheels that weigh 25lbs for a total of 55lbs, thats a 100lbs more rotaional weight than my setup, which is 1.5 lb less than stock. I'd like to see that review from a build not laden down with 60lbs ground effects-no offense to you all who went that way, but if we're trying to evaluate a Supercharger then other variables need to be controlled tightly, agreed? drive one tuned right and not with some overpiped showy exhuast, I'd like to see the review of a car running a basic 2.5" single can(like stock) resonated build. Am I describing the future of my wifes car, a stage1Vortech basic daily driver? Perhaps, but I guess I'd like to read some reviews that are in line with I just described. Add oil cooler, then some proper suspension kit for a DD stag1 build and lets see how folks like it. ... not interested as we e-drive with hands on the keyboard rather than the steering wheel, and am wondering, aside from Skatery, who lives a mile high, where the reviews are for folks, every day folks, not tuner cars, running this in vanilla format. Yeah, dynos are pretty to look at, but how something drives is hard to put on paper is my point, know wah ah mean? (No offense meant to anyone! Just wanting to see a controlled real world review!) |
We have OEM mud flaps. Is that too much for ground effects :-).
On the track, I'll try to add some commentary. It's fun now, and it's going to be fun with the smaller pulley. |

We know the TC cars will have the most early TQ, and likely similar peak power outputs to the top level SC kits. This is my main concern tho, with the kits that put out power low/soon. For her daily driver, I'm open to seeing what the others feel like but so far her eyes lit up when she drove my car and there was zero learning curve with regards to the right pedal for her and she 'knew' the handling, as it felt the same even with more, linear, power. Now shes gotta get quicker with that left foot! |
