Thanks for the feedback, one of the friends told me about that idea of putting washers but we were worried about geometry and such. If there's no other work around this thing I'm probably ganna sell KB and go with TRD ss .

FWIW I remember people having the same issue with the TRD as well.

Why don't you want to just shave the linkage out of the way?

The trd ss will not work. I have the kart boy and it's the only ss kit that's compatible with the driveshaft shops drive shaft. I got the aluminum one though so idk if that makes a difference compared to the carbon fiber

Putting in gear is not the problem here, its the part of the shift linkage griding on the driveshaft and making rattling noise.
If you have kartboy ss and driveshops driveshaft I don't know how you are not griding.

It's not just audible, the shifter shakes back and fourth.

Because that means I have to take it to the shop to have them shave it since I don't have tools to do it myself and that's ganna cost around 300 if not more.

Ah. You don't know anybody with a grinder? You could probably buy one for less than that and have it forever. Then you could grind all kinds of shit.

It's just science.

TestaRD86 03-26-2016 05:06 PM

Trd won't work that's why I switched to kartboy short shifter. Im having some of the same using issues you do. Except only in 2, 4, 6 on bumpy roads I hear it rattle. I thought the dust cover might be catching but now I'm sure it's just too close.
