This is the big ole Subaru unit I pulled out. Weight 25lbs:

Install was a piece of cake. Nameless included new bolts and gasket, along with some decals & a little coozy. While I was using silicon spray on the factory hangers to ease removal of the stock muffle, I went ahead and hit the rear bushings and boots with it.

Construction on this unit is impressive-built to last the life of the car, and maybe then some. Nameless is currently developing full exhaust options, as well as other parts for the 86. They have numerous threads here on this site, including this one with a vid/sound clip of their axleback/downpipe combo.

They also post up dyno results, which show this axleback makes as much power as a straight muffler delete pipe. This unit was $550. plus shipping at time of posting.

Guys,
The vid in this thread will give you a better idea with the drive bys than what I can do shooting the car in neutral. Vids & dyno of the axleback alone have been requested from Nameless, and I'm sure its on their list. The axleback alone is probably a bit softer than the axleback/downpipe combo in the vid. I can say that the sound the AB makes totally transforms the audible character of the car, without being obnoxious or noisy @ cruise. Nameless is developing a complete system now, with customizable options, and that will be compatible with the AB if you want more power & sound later. At the rate they're progressing, in won't be long.

Yeah I've watched that video a few times, but it's the axleback plus downpipe combined. I'm curious to hear the axleback alone from outside the car :)

Looks nice though. I like your wheels too

Nameless Axleback Update

Since the exhaust has had time to settle into place, a minor fitment issue has come up. I emailed Nameless some pics this am. I'm confident it will be addressed professionally & will post more info after I receive a response.
Next up for CandyO: 5Axis pre-painted lip spoiler (shipping soon).

Nameless Axleback Update

Didn't hear back after two business days, so I re-sent the pics to the other boss there. Got a quick response, explaining that they are working on the issue, and offering to repair the system while I was passing through Washington. Variances in the stock midpipe was cited as the cause. After explaining that the ~400 mile side trip would wreck my already tight schedule, I was told they are sending some of their urethane hangers to try and help the issue, and to let them know if that didn't work, to which I skeptically agreed. I'm relatively sure sure the brand new stock hangers are not the issue, and personally feel that's a bandaid approach. I any case, I won't be able to install the hangers until after my road trip. The fit issue is that the right tip extends ~8mm further out than the left, with the left side AB hangers both resting rearward of the chassis hangers. It seems that the right side is being levered rearward by the flange and left side hangers. Since the issue is not mechanically critical, I'm opting for patience.

The 86 is proving to be a better tourer than I expected. Put over 3000 miles on her since I left Houston 6 days ago. I'll probably add another 2500 or so by the time I'm home. I love this car :)
