Holy crap people, 11.8V isn't slightly low, it's beyond discharged.

A 12V battery is full between 12.6 and 12.8, and below 12.2 is considered completely discharged. Below 12.4 it shouldn't even be load tested.

I'm late to the party. ^^^this^^^

The buzzing under the hood is the servo motor in the throttle body. Normal.

Well of course it's the battery, but we have to go thru 3 pages of over-diagnosis. Might be the valve springs?

Ok, yeah.

OP, have you gone in for the valve spring recall? It might be that.

I find it hilarious that they offer a 7 year warranty on a replacement battery but the one that comes with the car is only covered by the general new car warranty.

This is how battery warranties work, straight from toyota's website. It's not a 7 year warranty, it's 2 years then you have to pay the difference between the "depreciated" battery and a new one

Every aftermarket battery maker does this.

Wholly cow. What is it doing now? Did you have the other battery and your charging system checked?

I suggest you check out the NEW battery and the charging system, if you haven't already.

If new battery didn't start the car then the charging system is not suspect (yet).

Check new battery. Is it charged? Brand new ones can be bad more often than most things you buy.

Check cable ends to ensure clean and tight. It doesn't take much.

Nobody thought to ask before but had you changed anything on the car just before it started having issues?
