@Diode Dynamics has offered to send me some new bulbs but this still doesn't solve the whole bulb stuck inside the housing problem, and no i don't have a heat gun or a .45

borrow a friend's hair dryer.

not a big deal

They got hot enough to melt the adhesive or what ever it is to begin with it looks like. Looks like you might be stuck using a hair dryer at this point.

what part of socal are you in? you can borrow my heatgun or try a hair dryer. or get one from harbor freight, 10-15bucks not a bad deal since you are getting upgraded bulbs anyways.

heat is what melted it, heat is what's going to take to get it soft enough to remove out. Get that hamster on the wheel spinning man.

I'll let you borrow my heat gun depending where you are in so cal

I chose Diode Dynamics for a reason. Honesty, loyalty and great customer service is a plus in my book. Awesome to hear the issue has been resolved.

Switchbacks keep on falling out

Does anyone have a problem with switchbacks repeatedly falling out of the connection. Every week I have been having to connect them back in. Seems like they do not plug in all the way.

No the issue has not been resolved. I was able to loosen the glue from the head lights today but it ripped off some of the chrome paint. Right now the glue is formed in a way where i can't pull it out unless I do get a heat gun or blow dryer. It's literally like an arrow head right now. @Diode Dynamics has only been able to offer me new bulbs but that's it. Now I have some scratched up lights. I guess I was one of the few that got the short end of the stick when purchasing from diode dynamics.

I'm curious now what the melting point is for that glue, it appears that it spent some time being hot enough to melt a good bit of it. Anyways, you can bake the head lamp for sure. It's a bit time consuming but not terribly difficult. Probably want to set an entire day aside to do it.

Please contact us for exchange- we made some recent revisions to the base connector on this specific bulb which addressed this issue. New bases fit perfectly and securely.

Hmm, looks like THE EXACT REASON why I buy from forum supporting vendors.

Try getting service like this from ebay...

Oh, and Diode Dynamics is based here in the USA!
