Installed rear LCAs and got it aligned, no problem with alignment values, and this time it was relatively more hard work from the technician. But after alignment car still pulls to right, even after changing front toes 0,1 degree to left both (it is still like that atm).
This pulling to right problem started right after installing coilovers + wheels. At first i thoughed that it was an alignment problem, i went to alignment shop 5 times after installing coilovers, including todays. Now i am possitive that it is not an alignment issue. The thing is, for very small inputs to steering (like little corrections on highway), inputs to right is without resistance and left is with a little more resistance. Olso, car seems to follow the roads curve more easier to right side than left side. When i let go the steering wheel, it stays centered at first but then starts turn to right at a point and car starts to go to right like if i was steering like that. One more thing, when i am going fast (180+ km/h) on highway and go over a bump, at the moments car hops and goes down, front of the car moves to right maybe around half a meter and gets unbalanced a bit. Feels like it is a steering issue, maybe. Any thoughts/suggestions? |
When you have toe in for the rear the car will track more. Maybe try zero toe all around

If those numbers are right, you probably installed the top hat of the strut backwards. No wonder your car pulls to the right. |

Also we've seen issues where the same shop keeps aligning the car over and over and every time it has the same results. I would try a different shop. Additionally I would think about getting corner balanced as well. Anytime you lower one of these cars, you want to have the LCAs installed. As for the changing alignment during driving, it could be the machine doing the reading is off every time or something could be slipping. We've heard tons of complaints about the SPC arms slipping, however we've installed probably 20-30 sets of them, including on our own track car as well as lots of customer cars who drive in NYC. None of them have slipped or changed alignment settings between checks. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/153798190.jpg Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Enthusiasts since 2001.
