I got a question on the launch control. Do you have to engage the clutch and put in first gear to active the launch control? I ask because, when i step on my throttler without engaging the clutch, its still active my launch control.I don't know if it suppose to do that?

Just as long as your vehicle speed is below 6mph and your clutch is depressed, the engine will rev to it's secondary rev limit (launch control RPM). This is independent of which gear is selected.

Ok but I did not press my clutch and it's still active. Would this have to do with my adjustment on my clutch/clutch sensor?

I too received a pack recently and quite likely flashed with older auto generated 93 oct tune on mostly stock car. I will at some point likely look to update firmware on unit and fresher tune definitions so this post helps. I'm easily satisfied with improved in town drivability and look forward to letting it sip corn juice

The clutch pedal has to be depressed to engage LC or FSS. However, the clutch switch is right at the top of pedal travel so even just resting your foot on the clutch pedal can sometimes be enough to activate it.

Ok thanks I will have to readjust the clutch switch.

Thanks so much guys, it worked just fine! You're the man, Shiv.
ECU seems kind of sluggish compared to how aggressive it was earlier. Just means I have to go let it all relearn again.

If the engine feels sluggish after the re flash it is likely because you didn't let it idle for long enough after the flash. If you start driving it too soon, VVT will be disabled for a period of time. It will come back online soon but it's always better to flash and the wait until idle drops to <900rpm before driving off.

Gotcha. I'll see how it goes in the morning

@Shiv@Openflash,

When i put in neutral and just rev (foot are not on the clutch),its seem like it its won't go pass my launch control RPM. Does this mean the LC is active? As you mention on your previous post, it must engage the clutch to able active the LC.

Sorry for so many questions. Just trying to figure it out.

I have noticed the same behavior, except with no clutch the RPM is 400 less than the LC setpoint. More info here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...59#post2051759

sumarized:
The first, is launch control. I currently have it set at 4k rpm, and set to disable at 10mph. If I am stopped in the car, with the car in neutral (not pushing on the clutch) and I step on the gas (wot), it goes straight to 4k and sits there...which is what it should do, however, it does this whether or not I am stepping on the clutch-I though LC should only be enabled when full throttle AND stepping on the clutch. The only potential issue here (I think) is that I can't be cool and rev to 7k while in neutral. Pretty minor issue. However, when I'm cruising on the highway (going, say 60pmh) and I step on the clutch and floor it, the rpm's go to 5k(which it should, since the way launch control is configured in the computer by redline (minus) XXXX)-but, I'm going over 10mph, so why did it engage?. Again, while on the highway If I dont step on the clutch, and I floor it, the car will rev to 7k. SOOO...Isn't this supposed to be the way the car/rpm's respond when I'm stopped-and not on the highway? When I'm stopped or below 10mph, it should allow me to rev to 7k, unless I am stepping on the clutch, and then it should go to whatever my preset launch rpm is, and if I'm going over 10mph, it shouldn't engage at all.

I think on the highway with clutch in your engaging the flat foot shift rpm limit.

lc is independant of clutch , and disabled over 6 mph

ffs is enabled whenever you have clutch in, i think it set to 5600 ie delta 2000 , if you want to get rid of it set ffs delta to zero '0'

does the D00C have LC/FFS yet?
