Another option would be to use a DSM / EVO 1-3 / JDM Mitsubishi RVR 4G63. There are a few "bolt on" RWD transmission options for that swap (Dodge D50 / Mighty Max).

The Evo VIII and Evo IX transmissions are flipped and I don't recall them ever being used in a RWD form from the factory.

I was questioning why the specific BMW one, and not another option.

Because DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission)... and it's really the only decently price DCT option on the market currently.

Third gear did grind(slighty), never bothered to fix it before I sold it.

Clutch job took two long days on jack stands.

Hey fellas.
I got a stupid question.
Is there ANY possibility of connecting (somehow) together 4G63 or 4g69 engine and fr-s manual tranny.
I’m getting crazy but really need it.

would definitely need a custom trans adapter spacer, likely also need to convert the engines output shaft to the trans' input shaft pattern.

considering no one else is putting the 4g64 in with the oem trans, it's going to require a machine shop and a large wallet.

Soundman means using a custom flywheel with a custom trans adapter. Your best bet is ditching the stock transmission for something stronger and that has aftermarket support, as there are already RWD adapter kits for common T56 transmissions.
