Having odd milage tires is a pain in the ass. They don't wear even and you have to keep buying tires. I'd replace the others too

LOL You're right. You're always buying two tires because it becomes ingrained in your mind that you don't want to waste the "newer" two tires. At some point you have to bite the bullet and buy four so you might as well do it when the insurance company will pay for two.

Well my question was if the insurance will allow the purchase of the PSS over the primacy since they're cheaper and better. If this was the case, I would buy the other 2 myself lol, no plans to mix and match

If you want to keep drifting on the streets, keep your stock tires.

Easier to fix later on.

What is your talent level?

Can you set up a protracted drift such that the worn tires remain just slightly off the ground until the tread depths are rendered equal?

Also another question, they have my tires listed as:

"OE Replacement, Michelin Primacy 215/45R17 $165.00"

Could a shop put on different tires or do they have to follow what the estimate says? Because my local discount tire has Michelin PSS 245/45R17 for $160 and so it's a much better tire for cheaper.

Uh....no.

Besides my utter bias to Mpss,

What ever you get match your current tires. Ask for at lest two new ones. Keep them on the rear, let the current one up front.

Do not let them just buy you one tire. Read the manual and show them what the manual says.
