1.0 FRS - Ten Years Later

My 1.0 FRS turns ten this year. Time to get it cleaned up. It has been my daily driver summer car. Currently with about 47,000mi.

New tires
Brakes and clutch flushed
New battery
Wiper blades...

Actually the tires are new from Coker tire. Original XWX. I had to park in some mud (actually my yard, to let another car out of the drive). I don't park it in the street.

The drive-through to Starbucks has some cement berm that I struck a few times. I guess the SUVs and such just run right over the berm and no one notices it makes the corner too sharp of a turn....

Tamiya also makes a 1/10 RC model. A little harder to modify Lexan, so I just have a 1.0 paint job on a stock 86 body.

After a few drives I'd think anyone can tell it kick you in the back from 2 to 3k but not much happens when you floor it after that until around 5k. I don't know why people don't think the power...

I just had my Testarossa done and it was $13,000 but that included a new clutch, new tires, a bunch of little things that go bad in 25 years and enclosed transportation >200mi there and back.
