The JRSC manual said change every 3k miles so that's what I do. I'll occasionally go over that if I'm not doing anything except travelling a lot like around the winter holidays.

Being from rural VA, they give lots of exhaust tickets but up here I haven't heard of anyone getting one. In NoVa, emissions and pissing your neighbors off are the only problems.

If you're legal in CA then you should be alright in VA from what I know. NOVA does have emissions tests required every two years.

VA can be strict on things like lights, tint, exhaust noise, etc....
