I test drove FT-86 in Ise-shi, Mie Prefecture. Japan, a GT Limited edition, a very brief drive, about 10 minutes, onto the highway, very frustrating because there were many slowpokes in my way, no way to assess the car or its handling. The feel of the gear shift was positive and much better than a Porsche 911 Turbo. However, I must say that I was not impressed with the torque/acceleration.

The dealer accompanied me and he seemed nervous, so I couldnt push the car at all, nevertheless I felt no surge of power, I did not feel the thrill! I have driven Porsche 911, 911 Turbo, Boxster, Acura NSX, BMW, Mercedes and more over the years and I agree that its not fair to compare this car after a 10 minute sterile drive, but thats just my opinion. Having said that, the dealer was extremely kind and gave me posters, brochures and all the detailed price lists of accessories and upgrades. He said that even if I booked a car now I could get this only in November 2012!
