My First Car 2015 CWP Subaru BRZ!

Sup guys, I'm new here, so I'm going to introduce myself. My name's Brandon, I'm currently 17, an upcoming senior. I've been dying for a car for the past year. I wanted it so bad i chose to go work with my uncle at a donut shop from 2:30 am to 1-2 pm during the weekends when i'm off of school. I managed to save $3,000 to put towards the car. I've been deciding between a G37 Coupe or a BRZ. I wanted a standard transmission. My parents wanted me to drive an automatic, but I just didn't want to. I was close to getting a G37, but couldn't justify paying about 30k for a used one. So i made up my mind and the BRZ was my final option. So it was June 8, me and my family went to go look at a used 2014 BRZ Limited for 24k with 12k miles on it. I really wanted it, but the thing was when I started the engine, it started shaking. I thought it was normal, but my dad told me it wasn't suppose to shake like that. So my parents went inside to negotiate and the price just wasn't right and we left. I was so angry and upset at my parents. I don't know why lol. I felt so bad. So i asked my parents to go to the Subaru dealership to check out how much a new one cost. And luckily we found a BRZ Premium for $24.5k it was on red tag. Although in my mind, I REALLY wanted a Limited, mostly because the Push to start, HVAC controls, and Leather seats. But hey we can't always have what we want. And I'm okay with what i have now and should be grateful for what i have. Anyways, I'm not sure if that was a good deal or not, but it sounded like a good deal to me, so yeah! So i never knew how to drive standard so my dad had to drive home. Then the next day my dad taught me how to drive my car, i felt so bad for my car, because I at least stalled about 30 times. :/ It took me only a day to learn how to drive it though. I just had to get used to the clutch. I love the way it drives, the car feels so good when your're going into a turn. I raced my friends 2015 Honda Accord Sedan(Sport) and barely lost, but I think it's because I'm still learning how to drive standard. :P As of right now i can't really drive it anywhere far because I don't have insurance yet, but my dad asked for a quote and it would be about $600 to be put on my dads name on the insurance. My dad shopped around for insurances and I think he found a insurance place that would have me on my dads name for a little under $200, so I can't wait to get insurance and drive my car!!! I plan to mod this car in the future, but for right now I ordered An eBay lip so it should come soon! , so I'll let you guys know when i get it!

Congratulations on working your butt off for what you want! Don't worry about stalling - the clutch will handle it just fine, and hey, if it fails early, then you can swap it out for something better!

Don't street race. There's gotta be autocross events or tracks around you! Work some more, and you'll have money for tons of legal, SAFE, fun!

Thank you! We tend to do dumb stuff when we're young, but I'll take your advice and yeah you have fun and be safe too!

Honestly BRZ Premium is the way to go, you get a reasonable head unit and super sick looking LEDs on the front for barely more money than an FRS. Getting the FR-S' ugly halogen DRL to LED is way harder.

Yes!!!!! I always liked the look of the brz front bumper over the frs bumper, because of the LEDs, headlights, etc.
