Intense rear wheel shudder during e-brake drifts

yes yes... ebrake turns..shouldn't be doing them. In over 2 years of owning the car, I never did a single one...until today..ok we moved on.

I notice when I pull the ebrake to initiate a slide that pushes my RR to the outside, I get an intense shudder in my rear right wheel. I am thinking a marginally lose lugnut, or when I put the wheel on I did not align it perfectly on the hub so when it catches during the drift, it kind of jostles around. I can initiate a turn in the opposite direction and there is no shudder (unless the rear right catches a bit at the end and does it noisy thing) (this was all going quite slow in a parking lot. I was just trying to find out what's up with the noise)

Thoughts anyone? I hope it is something as simple as jacking it up, and mounting the tire again. Could it be something else? Could it just be the e-brake shoe catching?

Thanks guys.

make sure you torque them right before drift.

Do you have the nannies turned off? If you are doing handbrake turns you should be doing the pedal dance.
I would initiate turns in motorkhanas using the h/brake without issue but always after pedal dance.

I didn't do the pedal dance, maybe that is why... had everything "off" but not via the dance (which shuts off all the nannies, as we know)

I torqued the lug nuts when installed, and checked again later. always worth a quick reinstall

The e-brake engages with a clunk even if you're barely rolling, I imagine it's much worse if you're going faster.

Buddy, you're boosted... power over!

But seriously, that's a pretty weird issue. I would be pulling the rotor off to check out the e-brake innards to make sure all is well in there.

Do you have hubcentric rings on your wheels?
