ハチロク - SF Livin' w/ Argento FR-S

Hey folks,

I'm happy to have this FR-S, as it marks my return to basics. Purchased her at the very end of 2013 and was pleased to get some cash off thanks to it being the previous model year.

Many years ago, I had a '07 Civic Si Sedan (FA5) - that was my first real foray into sport compacts and I enjoyed the customizing I got to do on her. Whoever owns her now is super lucky, because I really did take great care of it! After that, I toyed with a 350Z Roadster for a while, enjoying loads of torque and the beauty of topdown in California. Later on, I ended up in a brand new MB C350 Coupe, practically fully loaded - it was an awesome car; sure, it wasn't the sportiest or most raw car, but the ride was smooth and I loved the German build quality.

Moved to SF for work after finishing school, didn't have a car - ended up testing some cars out to give me some more mobility; and basically fell in love with the twins as soon as a tried the BRZ out.

So here it is, as of today:

Close to 2 weeks ago I picked up:
  • Nameless 2.5" Axleback, 5" mufflers - first gen, offset
  • RallyArmor Mudflaps (Black/White)
  • OpenFlash Tablet (OFT) - flashed to Stage 1
I just ordered the following:
  • FT86SF Catted UEL Header
  • K&N Drop-in Filter

In the next couple weeks, I'm planning on:
  • Nameless FP/OP 2.5" Combo (Catted & Resonated)
In the next couple months, I'm planning on:
  • Once I finish the headerback system, I'll go visit Vishnu and get myself dyno-tuned
  • Wheels, tires, suspension upgrades
  • Smaller interior and exterior touches
  • HPDE, HPDE, HPDE!

That is right, the red TOM's. Obviously had to get a hyperflash relay from DiodeDynamics to fix the annoying hyperflashing you get with LEDs.

Picking up my Enkei RPF1s next weekend, matte black: 17x9 +35 on Hankook Ventus V12 245/40.

I did a quick mockup of what it would look like, it doesn't look super realistic so don't hate - also mocked up clear sidemarkers, as that's next on the list.

Nice car. How dark of a tint did you go with? Any hassles from LE? Trying to decide how dark I want to go. Yours looks good.

Thanks, nope no problems. It actually is a lot lighter than tints I had in the past. The primary side windows are 35%, just enough to look like the cabin is dark from the rear and small interior space. The little windows and rear is 15%, I wouldn't go darker than that for fear of poor visibility. The front brow helps tremendously, 5% really helps keep the sun out of your eyes.

To be safe sometimes I'll roll down the window when cops are nearby, but I haven't run into any problems. More concerned about not running a front plate personally.
