Alignment required for different size wheels after drop?

So I have my wheels and springs/control arm/camber bolts ordered and it looks like the suspension setup will come before my wheels do. I was planning on an alignment two days after the springs are installed to give them time to settle. Will I need to get another alignment done after I put the new wheels on? The wheels coming in are 18x8 and 18x9 tires 225/40 and 245/40 respectively.

Wheels shouldn't change your alignment at all. The drop in height will though.

However, depending On the specs of the new wheels, you might want to run a slightly different alignment than before for fitment reasons. Not saying that it's a requirement, but you might want to based on how it looks. Just something to keep in mind.

I'd do the alignment after everything is put on and put it on at the same time. Do it once and be done with it.

let your coils settle in after 200 miles. your tires are not gonna wear out in 200 miles. Then get ur car aligned.
