2017 86 Street Build - Miyo

Hey everyone! Been a member for quite some time and thought I share my build. A little history, I had a 14 FRS monogram in silver which I purchased early 2015. On new years eve of 2016, I was involve in a collision when the other party made a left turn into my lane and the car was totaled.

It didn't take long for me to decide on my next vehicle. Within that month I brought a 2017 86 in white. Waited for the break in period and then started modding her.

2014 monogram, I was able to do 2 track days before the incident. Vehicle had grimmspeed intake, hks premium exhaust, cusco oil cooler, tein flex z, rsr rlca, rays 17x9 57dr with 245 re71r.

Other then installing the parts I could salvage from the monogram. One of the first mod I did was to add a hks oil cooler. The 2017 MT had a slightly different airbox and conflicted with a lot of oil coolers. HKS clears the airbox but needed to make bracket for the oil cooler.


Was debating if I wanted to reinstall the TRD door stabilizer on the 2017. I couldn't say no to TRD parts lol.

Installed JDM underpanel, was surprised with all the small bags for each clip


Decided to change from Tein Flex Z to Tein SRC for more track purpose.




Installed Tanabe Medallion G


Installed my old bucket seat I ran back in my RSX and added Takata ASM harness.


Installed JDM Frameless mirror. One of my favorite little feature in the monogram I missed.


Installed bunch of inserts and collar from cusco and beatrush.


Installed CSG Brembo GT BBK with ARP extended studs


Installed rear Brembo GT BBK with ARP extended studs


Remote tune with delicious tuning. These guys are amazing and definitely recommend going with them.

Would love some more pics! This car seems like it's very well set-up! How much clearance do the 57dr's have from the BBK?

I'm running 5mm spacers in the front to be safe. I believe the GT are about 6mm wider then the PP, so I think might have a chance to clear but I didn't want to risk it.

I wish I had taken more pictures on the build, found whatever was in my phone. Will be taking more pictures from now on.

Installed STI trailing arm. The STI sticker looks a bit generic, my guess is that its rebranded TRD trailing arms.
