New REXPEED Carbon Hood Dampers - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

Recently purchased these from FT86speedfactory, decided to try these on my Seibon hood even though FT86speedfactory specifically states it won't work, well gave it a shot and they were right.

These gas shocks are awesome but too strong for my carbon hood, it makes the hood flex up a tiny bit. Will work perfect if you're rocking the stock hood though.

Since they were test installed, I can't return them. My loss.

I have an aftermarket hood but its fiberglass. Do you think these with work with mine

I think they will, on the FT86speedfactory website it specifically states it won't work on Seibon CF hoods but I took the chance. I think it should work with all other hoods besides Seibon CF ones.
