According to Motor Trend, Scion FR-S project manager Yoshinori Sasaki has let on that he has big plans for the FR-S beyond the first year model. Speaking at the press drives of the FR-S at the Sodegaura Forest Raceway in Japan, Sasaki says: “We are hoping to release one new variant per year… Hopefully, for the next ten years!”
Toyota global communications spokesman Akifumi Yonezawa explains that the purpose of adding new variants on such a frequent basis is “based on the planning team’s passion that they want FR-S to be loved over the long term by customers.”
