Remote Fuel Level Gauge
Has anyone ever installed a separate gauge for their fuel level?
The reason I'm asking is because I'm having a custom cluster being made for my Racepak. And I don't believe Racepak can report fuel levels. correct me if I'm wrong! I haven't installed the racepak yet so I haven't had a chance to play with it. But instead of using a USM and wiring it from the tank to my dash and having to calibrate it.. I thought it might just be easier to tap into the OEM fuel level wires and remote mount a separate gauge somewhere hidden.. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this and if anyone has done it before? I tried searching and searching and couldn't find anything.

You can get fuel level through Torque, so all you'd need is an OBD based gauge.

Yeah I was thinking of that.. I called racepak and they said I can't add any custom PIDs.. but they said if it is transmitted via the ECU then it might be an option to choose.. I guess we'll see when I finally hook it up next week.
