Upgrading exhaust
I've been looking to getting an N1 with the nameless combo pipe coming later down the line. My fear is that the n1 will be too loud with the new pipes, but I have no plans for headers in the foreseeable future if that makes a difference. Will the pipes make it too loud for a reasonable DD? The only other exhaust I've looked at is the Perrin 2.5 unresonated. Any input from N1owners with a nameless combo? I would rather do it once and do it right then end up selling the N1 for a Perrin and taking a bath on the exhaust.

I have Invidia N1 cat-back and OpenFlash Headers. Stock over pipe and front pipe.
Cold start sounds wonderful. Loud but not ear plugging loud and definitely not annoying, I'd have sex with that sound playing lol. Freeway driving you can't really hear it, no annoying drone. Accelerating sounds awesome too. Can't say how it would sound if you kept the stock header but changed the rest but I changed the header and with the N1 it just sounds great. -RyanG |

I can speak for the Perrin 2.5 WITH resonator. Cold starts are amazing..not too loud, not too quiet. Cruising around is a little louder than stock exhaust, but when you go WOT it sounds great, but not overwhelming. Cops don't bother me either.

Just to throw it out there I've been really happy with my Zeta Performance catback system (resonated). By itself it was a bit louder than stock during coldstart and when accelerating and about the same as stock when cruising but IMO a much better sound (deeper/rumbly). When I added a UEL header it got louder and sounds incredible. If you want louder with it then a catless front pipe should do it. Never had any drone or noticed anything negative about it and often get compliments on the looks and sound
