ORDER YOUR TRD PARTS DIRECT FROM JAPAN...
Hey u bunch of fanny purses....
So we now have prices for GT and GTS... Yay!!!.. And being that a few of us, myself included thought the price would be slightly higher we now have the opportunity to spend on some aftermarket goodness.... I like maybe a few others here was going to hold off purchasing until TRD packages started becoming available to order directly through our local Toyota dealerships but seeings there is so much controversy and bullshit about how long its going to be until TRD will be available to us, even a certain dealer using this website to market himself and informing us "TRD IS DEAD" and wont be on offer which is an out an out lie!!!, Ive decided im going to purchase the GTS now because of price, well as soon as i have decided which dealership ill buy through and fly to Tokyo in November to buy all the TRD my heart desires..... Depending on how much interest i get ill most likely be bringing a shipping container back full of goodies, who knows maybe even a Hachiroku if i find a decent one over there for the right price..... A group buy is obviously going to bring prices down, its just whether or not i can go into a Tokyo dealership and purchase 20 bodykits etc i do not know yet and may not know to i get there so no money will be changing hands until this can be confirmed..... Anyway for now its just an idea/offering.... Im in Japan for just over 2wks in November as said so ill have time to shop around, and im looking to bring back some Cusco, HKS, Project-Mu parts just to name a few, and hopefully by then Trust have there super wide bodykit sorted and available to purchase.. Please be ready!!!. Pure porn dont u think!!! As pricing is difficult to say atm on what certain items will actually cost, for the people interested depending on price i would probably notify them via email as soon as i arrive there and take deposits from there on BUT this is new to me and im sure as a collective we could work out how all that stuff payment wise would suit everyone... Either way thats what ill be doing so no harm letting u all know....... ****ANYONE ORDERING THROUGH OTHER MEANS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE THERE WAY OF GOING ABOUT IMPORTING THERE PARTS, WHAT PARTS THEY CHOSE AND EXPERIENCE IN DOING SO TO HELP OTHERS....**** Last edited by FT-86GOD; 06-04-2012 at 02:04 AM. |

ask around for pricing definitely.
i ordered some small parts and i found some parts are cheaper on YAJ and some parts are cheaper via agents. also parts might need to be ordered. i was looking for TRD rear spoiler and one shop told me they won't have anything until September while another one will have some in June. needless to say where i ordered mine from... |

Prices can be had from the TRD online catalogue. That's jsut the cost fo the parts alone though, no shipping, no agent fees/commission or anything.
I want rear spoiler and coilovers, and brake apds... And other stuff hahaahha |

So u can buy direct from toyota japan online? but is it all in japanese?.... If so that may be a far easier option for some... My offer will always be available however as i will be loading a hachi into a shipping container as well as a few 4agte half cuts to get this Ke70 screaming.....
Nardi330 can u PM or just put on here how u went about ordering ur parts to help others? Do u speak Japanese?.... At the very least i would like to make this a valued thread so can anyone ordering TRD parts share how they are doing so... Thanks |

however he parents are not currently in Japan so this time round i am getting stuff via Jesse Streeter. i searched the items i want on YAJ and Rakuten and send the link to Jesse so he can either go thru his contacts or just bid the items directly from YAJ/Rakuten, which ever one is cheaper. YAJ/Rakuten is usually cheaper than retail so i don't see the point buying from Toyota dealer in japan unless the stuff you want isn't on YAJ etc. i don't speak Japanese but i can read a little. enough to get thru YAJ etc. TRD prices on their website are RRP and street price is much cheaper. i found that for my TRD rear wing, Jesse could get me much cheaper than RRP and cheaper still than YAJ. but its not always the case so its best to shop around. |

Nope, not what i said at all mate. My post was about TRD not Toyota. TRD have a seperate website with a full catalogue, for all the cars, not just the 86. With prices. Nowhere did I say you can order there. I am sure you can order directly from a Toyota dealer, but it would be a pain in the arse. Easier to get an english speaking agent there and pay them a small commission.
If you speak enough japanese to get stuff while you're there, that's awesome and we all appreciate it. With regards to bringing in an ae86 (i am assuming that's waht you mean by "hachi", but "hachi" just means "eight") you will need import approval with the vin, etc. There was never such thing as a toyota 4agte. That is a term given by modifiers for a 4agZe that has had a turbo conversion done. It sounds like you are taking a hell of a lot of money with you, because all thsi stuff is expensive!! |

Yes Hachi means 8... And guess what Roku means... And u r correct again!! There is no such thing as a 4agte but if u buy a half cut of a drift car thats running a turbo u would call that a 4agte... U r a clever sausage!!!!... Lets not confuse u with how much money ill be taking there though.... There is no need to pull me up over these matters.. I simply enjoy saying hachi or hachi-roku instead of ae86 slanty front or is that not good Engrish, would u prefer i say ae86 Trueno??... We can all get along, this is about importing TRD, not u acting a douche and pulling me up to sound better educated.....

Import monster have a yahoo japan translate & shipping service which has a ridiculous amount of random stuff.
http://www.importmonster.com.au/yahoo Sarch for zn6 or toyota 86 Nengun.com offers most jdm parts but no 86 stuff yet. They are notoriously expensive/slow though. In the supra scene there were a few really good Japan/hk eBay stores for '$10k on overnight parts from japan' mode. A while since ive kept up but it wont be long before we have reputable stores popping up. Mvp motorsports were great.

I think it needs to be more 'street' and less race and it would look pretty good. Slightly too sharp but the front lip looks pretty decent.
But definitely not going to hack my rear quarter fenders on a brand new car. I don't have the balls to do that. |

Yeah that's why I said they were expensive.
Most ppl in Oz just call them a sprinter or eight six/eighty six IMO. As to engine codes they don't change post factory! Really it will be a 4age-t just my 2c.

LOL... I cant alter engine codes.... But its always been referred to as 4agte when replacing the supercharger with a turbo... Unless u want me to call it a 4agze-t because ur using the updated smallport cylinder head 4agze LOL....
Sprinter yeah absolutely... But Hachi-Roku out of my mouth.... |

TRD brake pads front/rear and oil filler cap has already in, now NZ just needs the car... |

are you bringing in a 20ft or 40ft container? What port will it be shipping to? Have you got any thoughts on how you're going to divide up the import duty, customs clearance, container storage etc?
Who's doing the packing/racking inside the container in Japan? If you haven't imported a container personally before you can usually purchase some space in one of the jap importers containers. Be aware that it's pretty easy for large fragile parts to get damaged in the process as they stack the containers as full as possible to make the investment in container shipping worthwhile. |
